It's been quite a while since I've logged in, but at work yesterday a beautiful piece came in from a regular customer who is a collector.

Of course, I had to grab it and put it aside....to think about it. I'm going to get a very fair price on it, and will tuck it away with the rest of my collection.

Here's a few pictures of it...I think it's in great condition. Original papers and original box in decent shape, even with the original warranty card that was never sent in. S&W SC dates it at 1971. Looking forward to getting it soon!

Welcome back. Nice re-entrance, but one question... what' to think about? A highly desirable great condition gun at a "very fair price" requires but an instant of thought while my wallet comes out! Congrats.

Hi and Congrats you have a fine M19 there i'm a bit jealous, I just received this shooter grade? M19 it is in great shape clean & tight but no box papers tools or stuff , only paid a few hundred for it though and ill probably use it as my CCW piece.

Enjoy your new M19 i already know they are fine guns

One of my favorites.
If you don't already have one, you should also pick up a model 66, the 19's SS cousin.

Hi there Fguy i have 3 M66's a no dash , a -1, a -2 all NIB never fired since factory all with boxes papers tools , all the goodies , but too nice too shoot thats why i bought the shooter grade M19

Thanks everyone....I cannot wait until I get it and put a few rounds through it.

Froggie, don't worry, only thing to think about was my college tuition payment vs. new gun....but then I realized layaway was a beautiful thing ;)

Actually, my dad gifted me a 4" 66-2 that had been a local town's officer's gun on my 18th birthday five years ago...and that is the reason I've been on the hunt for a 19 4" locally. Just so happened to fall into my lap at work. Literally. I'll be sure to post some pics of the "siblings" once I get this one out. The 66-2 is rougher since I carried it often while bow hunting.

Nothing not to like there. If the price is good sounds like it may be, the gun is exceptional obviously, get it. I've a had a 19 on my list for awhile. Good for you. I'm still looking.
