I travel a lot, and when checking luggage and trying to conceal my guns, I love the lightweight of my 337, but it would be nice to have one more round and a 3" barrel with full power ammo available.

Anyone one else thinking that it's time for a 365 or 313? K frame, 3" 357 magnum capable carry gun?

Model 12 return in Smith's classic series with a 3inch barrel along with a 2 inch. Don't need magnum power just stand up to +P 38s. +p as in 20K psi.

My default carry gun is a Model 12.

Fits my hand much better than a J frame, holds one more shot, and is not as heavy as an all steel K frame.

What would be awesome would be a K frame version of the Model 38 Bodyguard, in either .38 Special or .357 Mag. I'd be on that like a pitbull on a bone.

There was the model 242. It is a 7 shot .38. It is a light weight scandium L frame with a 2 1/2 inch barrel with a humpback similar to the bodyguard but DA only.

My brother actually has one of those 242's. In just the last week, I have located and purchased a M315 Nightguard through one of the members here on the forum.

The 315 has arrived, lightly chamfered cylinders, bright front sight, and it's had it's timing recently redone. I'll test shoot it tomorrow, if it like my standard carry loads, that would be even better!

I just need a couple of holsters for it and I'll be all set to go.

A 3" 365 sounds like a great idea ( it would be perfect sans lock). I've been looking for a 315 night guard for a long time.
