Just how cheap are you?

When pants get so worn out and thin in places that they start ripping apart, I sew on patches. Clothes should last at least two decades, if not three.

I get all happy and smiling when I put on my $1 Walmart undies that look like diapers.

I drink water from the faucet as milk, juice and soft drinks are too expensive for daily consumption.

Sad news... I noticed there is a small hole in the thumb of my motorcycle gloves and they are only twenty years old. I have to make a warranty claim!

I can remember going to the local grocery store and getting the soft paper that the apples were wrapped in and taking the paper home for toilet paper when we had guests at home.
That has been some years ago

So I'm riding around yesterday and get a hankering for a cup of coffee. Oh good, there's a McDs styrofoam coffee cup still in the cup holder from a couple days ago... free refill. yeah I know...

No issues unless you used that cup as a receptacle for your tabaccie spittins in the interim.

My wife knows every upscale coffee place for 100 miles in every direction. Doesn't think a thing about $5 or more for a cup.

I find McDonalds coffee to be pretty good, for a generic type brew. Under a buck and I'm happy.

One local convenience store has an outstanding coffee stand. 100% Colombian, Dark Roast, and several other varieties, all for about a buck per cup, free refills, and always freshly brewed.

I don't think I'm being cheap. I just can't stand paying 5 times as much for something I won't enjoy any more (probably less because I'll think of that price every time I take a sip).

Toilet paper? Man, some folks like that fancy living don't they? Toilet paper costs money. Just get some corncobs for free.

When I was a kid we used corn cobs in the outhouse. Dad had a basket of red cobs and a basket of white cobs. you use 2 red cobs then a white cob to see if you needed a 3rd red cob. The Sears catalog was for guesses

Local Dollar store had cheap acrylic watch caps all winter, $1 each. Went in yesterday and found them 50% off. Grabbed two, expecting to pay $1 for both. The clerk says, no, it's 50% off the 50% off; 25 CENTS EACH. Went home with an even dozen for $3. Guess I'll stash them around everyplace, plus keep a few on hand for the grandson next winter.

I'll be the guy in the corner booth at McD's sipping his senior coffee, wearing a black watch cap.

Back to the wall, gun hand free, of course.

I took such long steps to save the soles on my $40 boots that I split my $80 pants.:(

Incidentally, I have seen a guy take his Mickey D's cup with him and come back days later for a free re-fill.

I suspect he does it every day.

The Sears catalog was for guesses

Sears catalog ink rubbed off real bad.:D

I'm a bit concerned about some of the above "toilet paper/corn cob" posts. We may soon be in another "hoarding" situation just like with 22LR Ammo! :D
