I'VE LEARNED MUCH ABOUT DIET OVER THE LAST 5 MONTHS!!

North Korea seems to have an effective weight control program... Except for the leaders.

Well just last week N. Korea partnered up with Russia. To what extent I don't know, but Putin would only be interested in missile, submarine or airplane bases I'm guessing. In exchange there will probably be food from Russia - at least I would think.

Congrats. I wish I had the discipline to cut back on sugar. I'm not overweight -- 5'-10" and 170 pounds, but I wouldn't mind losing about 10 pounds. I'm 71 and don't take any medications -- but I know my sugar intake is higher than it should be.

Your body will tell you what it needs or wants if you let it.

An occasional dessert wont kill you. Limit the sugar intake by choosing a simple slice of pound cake with your coffee.

Your body needs salt. When I feel the need a small amount of pretzel stix with a beer satisfies me. I'll also limit what goes in my cooking.

Fruits and veggies are an important part of ones daily requirement for their vitamins. Most of what you take in pill form ends up going down the toilet in one form or another. Cooking veggies on the stovetop or in the oven does not give you any benefit. It might look good on the plate but you've killed the benefit of their vitamin content.

Replace a midday meal by just eating a salad. It's refreshing if nothing else.

We need water as part of our daily requirement. It helps with digestion. Sorry but beer, whiskey, coffee or soda doesn't count.

Smart eating habits are better than any diet but nothing helps you shed those pounds if you're a couch potato.

adage I got from a co-worker years ago:
"Breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, dinner like a pauper."
Take in most of your calories in the morning, especially if you don't burn them off during the day. And bedtime snacks are VERBOTEN.
