I just read the results of a new gun ownership survey. It said that gun ownership is at its lowest level in years. It said ownership is at 35% down from 50%. Do you think there is less ownership or less owners willing to disclose their ownership to someone claiming to take a survey? I think it is people are no longer willing to disclose their ownership.

1500-3000 people surveyed in "face to face" interviews. Likely in the Chicago area due to the folks doing it being associated with Chicago University. No, not skewed at all.

And what gun owner would answer questions about what they have or if they have to a poll taker. Hell, if mine had not been lost in that terrible boating accident I wouldn't even tell the NRA.

But this has been discussed recently so you know.

Fewer people hunt, so there are fewer people who buy guns solely for that purpose.

Lost it in the woods, it was a camo shotgun (that stuff really works)...couldn't find it after I laid it on the ground, pointed in a safe directions of course. Dang it, I liked that one.

Guess there is a bad *** deer out there now. Geeezz

Lost

I agree. If they surveyed me, I would explain that I had owned a couple, but they were lost in a tragic incident in a bad storm in GA:

Lost mine in a boating accident also.

I don't think any law abiding firearm owner would admit to a survey that they own a firearm.
I for one don't own any if you are asking, but if you come in my home unannounced I may have lied a touch.....
