I'm posting this to make you jealous. Last week I bought this model 66 no dash that was manufactured in 1972 according to the #. Stainless sights and in great condition. I didn't know what I was buying and my friend didn't know what he was selling. It was misfiring on every other shot. I took off the grips and tightened the strain screw and it shoots perfectly. I've put a couple hundred 38 rounds through it. He asked me today how I like the gun. I told him I love it .I paid $300 for it.

I'd have to call that "stolen property"!!! :D

"To Make You Jealous"..............OK you did! Nice find, enjoy.

You're going to have to do better than that, but it IS a nice nice gun - and at a more-than-fair price, in today's market.

Now if you had just brought home a new puppy, or something like that... :D

Friend?

Must not be much of a friend if you lifted that nice piece for $300, although I did pick one up from a complete stranger on GB for $450. I guess if each of you were ignorant of the value all is fair.

Ya thieving varmint! Very nice!

Jealous? Yes.

It makes me jealous for the fact that I had to pay $375 for this 66, private sale from a complete stranger… at a gun show!

I could sure use that extra $75.

OP,

What you did to your "friend" is still illegal in some states even if you were married..... Nice find on a great revolver.
