Doomsday Industries Charging Handle Available Again

PT did some much needed adjustment to the dimensions of the handle.
I'm happy that later handle production runs were an improvement, but the QC on the mags seem to be problematic.

I must say i am happy as well, i can understand if you could rotate it like that why it would get bad press. The adjustments they made obviously worked...mine runs smooth and i really like the oversized latch it suits my fingers perfectly, is easy to 'find' without looking, clears my scope and the only reasons i am not contemplating a change (as yet) is because my PT functions perfectly (for me).
You know the deal though Major....never say never. :D
I really like the Saffa made one, as well as the Doomsday one.

In reference to all the passive aggressive posts that are appearing lately....

How? And is it really sixty-bux better?

It is to me. I like the fit, the action of the latch, improved handling and the look. I changed it for the same reason I changed the FCG, the mag release button, the butt stock, the pistol grip, added the NDZ speed bolt release ...

I really like this item, but I have a question about it. Could someone that owns one and has used it for a while e-mail me ? Thanks

I have one of the originals, relatively speaking it matches the profile of the Raptors I have on my AR's. For left-hand use, or with optics, these are the best avail imo. Will the standard one work - of course. This one just works better. Same for the AR. Standard $20 handle works fine, but throw in Left Hand/Ambidextrous operation and magnified optics, and the Raptor is the overwhelming choice, and fwiw also spendy as well. Which I know all to well, I've bought 5 Raptors so far lol.

I was once kicking tires at the Porsche dealership in Scottsdale. This cowboy with a blonde on his arm was mouthing off asking "What the hell makes this car worth 84 thousand dollars? The salesman who was walking over stopped and said simply "if I have to explain it, it's not worth either of our time." Products like this are like that beautiful black 928S4. Some people will see the value in it and some people will see an unnecessary extravagance.

Has anyone who ordered in the past 2 weeks have their charging handle yet. I ordered mine and still haven't heard anything back from them.

I just ordered one.

I've got a "Raptor" on my T and wanted a similar one for my 15/22 since both rifles are as close to the same weapon as possible.

I already have an Ambi latch but don't care for the added oversized latch which constantly hangs on my gear accidently deploying the handle.

Countless times I've discovered my charging handle deployed and flopping around without me touching it.

Never happens with the Raptor and hopefully this cures that on my 15/22.

I had an email on the 4th from Eric, they were en-route from etchers back to him and the hope was to ship the following week, so my guess is this week should see some arrivals... :D

Ordered one on April 5th... no tracking number yet. As far as the $60 thing, my 15-22 is kind of like a lego building set. I can take things off, put other things on. It's a great way to have fun and learn a few things along the way. Not long ago I replaced the stock safety with a Battle Arms Development Ambidextrous Safety Selector. First time changing one and I found out it really wasn't that difficult. Installed a Magpul MOE K-grip and received a lesson on the springs. One day soon I plan on learning how to replace the trigger assembly (don't know what to buy yet).

The Doomsday charging handle looks great and seems to have some good reviews here. Have lots of magazines and a good supply of ammo, so this is a fun purchase for me.

Where's my charging handle?

So I ordered my charging handle on the 31st or March....

It's now April 17th......

Haven't received a single email about shipping confirmed or even that it's delayed.

Starting to think they weren't ready at all and he wanted to see what kind of numbers to order from his manufacturer to save himself the Trouble of ordering to much stock.

Sure seems like When your a retailer, who's new in The market and is dependent on the people to buy your stuff... This is not a winning strategy.

Not sure I'm ever gonna order from doomsday for anything else after this.
Hope the quality is there when this damn thing finally shows up.

I'm in the same boat as you and to top it off the website says they are back ordered now. I opened a dispute with PayPal, I have emailed twice with no response. They'll never get my business again that's for sure.

It is a niche product that had significant development costs with a fairly limited market (15-22 owner/lefty for the most part).

Price seems reasonable considering the market realities.

I wouldn't buy one as I think my 15-22 pretty much nailed it out of the box and doesn't really need a bunch of $$$ dumped into it.
