Just ordered mine as well. The Registered Magnum Book is my favorite Firearm related Book to Date,I hope this One is on the same level.

Are the photographs any better than previous offerings?

Modern digital photography is amazing. I am not sure if I would spend my hard earned money for the quality of images in earlier editions. If you want my $79.95 you better step up your game.

A good example is the cover and the photograph on it. It screams "Vanity Press Quality" but is asking for 5th Avenue pricing.

Just saying...

How are the pictures in the books you've published?
Just sayin.

The Pictures in the Registered Magnum Book where plenty good enough for Me.

Read some reviews on the past books on Amazon and they're for the most part positive. Here's one for the Magnum book.

This is a beautiful book ! If you are a fan of Smith & Wesson pre-war revolvers, this is the book for you. Mr. Mullin provides a great review of this iconic revolver along with excellent photographs and history. Worth a read and the price.

You guys really know how to make me spend my money! :)

Just ordered mine. I submitted pictures of my 1917 serial number 13 S&W, don't think he used them thou.

A lot of these Firearm Books only have One print run.Once they are gone they price on the secondary market sky rockets. Some old 1911 Books sell for $500!

Do you have to publish a book to be allowed to have an opinion on a book? Bill S

No, not in the least. I was just asking to see his work. He sounds like an expert. I work for a printing company and I found the pictures in the books to be just fine. Why are you questioning my opinion?

I too think the Reg Mag book was one of the best reference books I own. We are all free to buy or not buy the book. Doubt $79 will make or break him.

That cover photo is perhaps the most famous picture of Elmer Keith. It appeared in True Magazine in the 50s in the article about the 44 Magnum. Very appropriate for the cover of the book.

I find the photos in all of the books in this series to be very well done.

This volume contains all sorts of great information. I got mine on Friday, and have already read it in its entirety. It is so packed with information that it will be an excellent resource, just as the two others in this series.

I eagerly look forward to getting mine. The first two volumes were excellent and belong on the bookshelf of everyone who considers himself a serious collector of the subjects covered therein. Most of the texts on S&W's are years, if not decades, old. These books do two important things: 1) Bring previously known information together into one place. 2) Update and add previously unknown information.

My only concern, and it is a slight one, deals with the layout of the printing. I find the two large columns topped by a subject line that spans both columns and the way that it wraps to the next page to make following the dialogue difficult. It would also be clearer if there was a more distinct font differentiation between the picture captions and the text. Those concerns have to do with the publisher's decisions rather than the author's, I suspect.

Back in 1991, I bought six copies of Charles W. Clawsons book on the "Colt .45 Service Pistols". I kept one as a ref., sold three and have two in the safe that have never seen daylight. If Tims books are never published again, you will be paying big.

Mr Clawson just passed away, what do you think his books will bring now?$?$?

I didn't even know these books existed. I just ordered the 357 Magnum Phenomenon book and will probably order the other two sometime in the not too distant future.
I may have missed it somewhere (and it doesn't matter much to me anyway) but are these books hard or soft bound?

Thanks, Roger

I did not say any thing about any body passing away. I know what the Clawson book sells for. I follow the market. There is no sense in attempting to explain, Im being civil. I just mailed Tim for a copy to join The K and Mag Book on the desk.

I just received my Magnum book yesterday and LOVE it. I found my own RM listed in the database chapter! Kevin, are you responsible for that? Great work. Made me feel a bit special, Ha.
I'm now in the process of ordering the N-Frame book.
P.S they ship rather fast. I ordered the RM book on the 14th and 5 days later it was on my doorstep. I have hardly put it down since opening.
