I have a 9mm Core, and looking to get a red dot sight. I will use it to shoot bowling pin, and steel. Thanks

My wife has the Deltapoint on hers and loves it. I have the Trijicon RMR on mine and love it. The only problem I have with the Deltapoint is finding them.

We went a different route.. We went with a Burris Fastfire III. It is less expensive and they have a lifetime no questions asked warranty. It does not matter if you are the first or 7th owner. My husbands Fastfire III had issues. We sent it in and they are replacing it, no problems. You can not beat a warranty like that.

Trijicon rmr5g . I found I liked green fiber optic front sights sights some years back on hunting revolvers . Bought the rmr with green fiber optic and tritium night insert . Like it real well.
Its a 9moa dot but that's only 2 1/4" at 25 yards .

I'll third the Burris III. A dependable red dot for the price
It's mounted on CORE 40

Trijicon RMR

I've shot Trijicon RMRs (RM01 and RM02) on several of my bullseye guns and carry guns for the past 5 years, have about 20,000 rounds total through them and have never, never had one single problem with any of them. Plus, I've never changed a battery in all that time. Still waiting for one to wear out so I have some idea how long a battery is supposed to last in one of these. Could not be more satisfied with them.

My carry gun

Yep mine [Trijicon RMR] lasted two weeks thank goodness Amazon took it back and sent me a DeltaPoint. Don
Interesting. Trijicon would have replaced it for free, but you didn't go that route. Why not?

Don't do this with your FFIII or Deltapoint:

EDIT: I own a Burris Fast Fire III and would still pick the Trijicon over it every day.

Timely question

I'm in the market to outfit a CORE with optics myself. I'm leaning towards the Burris ( mainly on price point) but am still researching. I guess the only thing I'm not thrilled about with the Burris is that you reportedly can't really co-witness the sights well through it. That said, this is going to be an informal range toy that will never see competition or more serious work. If the sight dies mid session, it's no biggie ( and I'm betting I've brought another gun or three along to play anyway.)

As far as I know, the only optic that will co-witness with the C.O.R.E. is the Deltapoint. All the others are just a tad high. On that point, the Deltapoint wins hands down.

There are several places to get sights that will co-witness though.

I think the co-witness is over hyped . I used a Deltapoint on a Core for a couple of years and honestly, after I got used to the dot, never noticed the iron sights anymore. Most all of the new dots are robust enough and have enough battery life that failure is not a normal occurrence. I have a new pistol with a CMore sight and I left the stock sights off (this is a competition gun, I use iron sights for SD and carry) The Core sits in the safe most of the time now, my wife uses it on the odd weekend that I don't have a match.

The Trijicon RMRs co-witness just fine.

Question about the Burris sights. I see they have with or without picatinny rail adapter. If I pick up the one with picatinny rail adapter can it be removed to use on the C.O.R.E.

I assume that it doesn't need the rail adapter but it might come in handy if I move to another gun.

Wow, I was just about to ask the same.
Also given that a separate adapter is required to mount it to the CORE, How/where do I find that adapter? Do they come individually or as a set?

Also, do any of the other brands ( Deltapoint especially) include the adapter or are they all purchased separately.
Sorry for all the questions but I'm trying to avoid ordering 1/2 of what I need.
Ready to order tonight if I can figure this out.
