I finally got a 1911!!

It's COOL! I am up to 4 as of 12-7. This time.................. a S&W. My 1st was an Auto Ordnance that I bought used. (did not know any better) Did get it running right finally. Sold it and bought a Sig. Big upgrade! Bought 9mm Tactical 1 RIA, and .40 Tactical II RIA. Both shoot well, and are great for the money. Now I need to get to the range & shoot the SMITH! Bob

Enjoy your 1911. But, be careful. They are addictive. I got my first 1911 while stationed in Germany. I now have eleven of them from various manufacturers (my Norinco is my favorite).

Here are a couple of pics of the latest addition to the Timn8er arsenal. I feel I got a great deal on it, & of course I would have preferred a PC model round butt, but this one was at such a great price that I felt it would be a good baby step towards the whole 1911 genre. The trigger feels fantastic, & I will be hitting the range as soon as I can. I'll take the 4506-1 along for comparison.

What Model 1911 is this? It is a beauty; I want a 1911 Billboard but looking at yours makes me want one just like it. Is this new? I am a revolver guy but may go over to the other side soon.

I believe it's a 2014 type E model. I found it on line brand new in box at a very reasonable price, compared to what I've seen a lot of 1911's go for.

Yeah, it's my first, hence the title of this post: "I Finally Got A 1911!".
I wouldn't think that anyone would need THAT "splained" to them, but you never know...

Hektormorigan I also like my Norinco 45APCA1 in the Sportsmans model. Its Silver and Black. I have put adjustable target sights on it and use Wilson Combat mags in mine. Shoots like a dream. For the price it is a great gun.

I have an E Series just like yours. The only thing I did to it, was put PC grips on it and covert it back to standard guide rod and plug. Other than that, shooting as often as I can. And, yes, the trigger in these guns is fantastic!
