It's been around 5 years since I rented one but if my memory recalls correctly it's very manageable. The only reason I didn't finally get one was because of my FNX 45.

I agree w all the above & my wife prefers it over the .40. Using the correct size palmswell goes a long way towards making it accurate & enjoyable.

M&P45 was on my radar, too.
Then I think the radar malfunctioned with repeated blips.

I carry a M&P 45 ACP as my duty sidearm. It is very manageable regarding recoil.

I highly recommend it.

The M&P .45s are comfortable to shoot. I like em.. Prefer the small backstrap as that feels most like a 1911 to me. The mid size gun is probably my favorite. It is currently my duty sidearm.

My MP45 is the softest shooting .45ACP I've ever had experience with. It fits my fairly large hands very well with the small insert and I am very pleased with it's fit and function. Everything about it works well for me.

The m&p45 is a soft shooter imo. Traded my full size for the 45c and couldn't be happier. Put some TFOs and some grip tape on and it is gtg.
