I bought this a few weeks ago. I like the looks of the unfluted cylinder and the wood grip.

Shooting it was no fun with the wood grips. Matter of fact it hurt like hell. So they will be replaced with Hogue or Pachmayr.

But that's the only complaint I have about the gun. It's well balanced and accurate. Handles well. Double action is smooth and single action is light and crisp.

It's a keeper.

Picking mine up at FedEx in the morning from a trip back to the mother ship. Hope they fixed the problem as it went back 2 days after purchase yet to be fired.

I also had am issue with the Talo wooden grips, very uncomfortable when shooting
357. Once I replaced the grips with the Hogue, much better feel and lower perceived recoil.

Popular complaint on the grips. I never even tried them & went straight to a set of Hogues (#19002, round butt to square butt conversion) for the range & Badgers for dress-up.

Glad you like it otherwise. :)

I have the 3" Talo fluted edition. The finger grooves on the grips did not match my hand, I got some Ahrends Tacticals with finger grooves. Fit perfect. It's not the wood - it's the fit.

I have the 5" version and I too didn't care for the slim wooden grips. I love wood grips on my Smiths but these were to narrow. I replaced mine with Ahrends grips, they're broader and dissipate recoil much better.

I have the 5" Talo and I love it. I would like to add a 3" now. I love the look of the grips but I agree they are not pleasant to shoot.

Love my 3". I actually like the grips. Not a fan of rubber though.
