That sounds like a good way to get ripped limb from limb by an angry mob. As satisfying as it may sound, I can almost guarantee you'll not make it home after that. Ever.
The idea is to survive by retreating and only using deadly force if absolutely necessary. You don't want to incite further violence, because that is the excuse they are looking for to make this an all out race war. Make no mistake, organizations like Nation of Islam and the Islamic Brotherhood have a hand in this and are champing at the bit for the first time a scenario like you describe plays out so they can make the most of it.

Something very similar happened to me about 16 years ago-only I gave verbal warning to move-they didnt-I stomped on the gas pedal-they moved then.

One question for you:

How do you "retreat" when you're surrounded? Is it ok to BACK over your assailants?

I don't care WHO is behind this, whether it's the Insane Clown Posse or Spectre.

If you try to surround me and pull me out of my vehicle, you're getting run over, shot or both.

I may die lying on a pile of .45acp cases or with my thumbs up to my elbows in somebody's eye sockets.

I will NOT die on my KNEES, BEGGING.

The South Koreans consider the 106mm RCL loaded with cannister a "crowd control device". Worked like a charm in Kwangju.

Of course my assumption is that I would notice the nefarious activities before I got close enough to be embroiled in it.
Ok, so you're stopped, say a couple hundred yards from the mob. Can't go forward, can't go back because of the traffic rolling in behind you. As the mob advances, you do everything you can to keep some distance between you and them and definitely keep a wary eye out for flankers. Personally, I'm going to do everything I can to get out of the situation and make it home to fight another day. If SHTF, you better believe I'm going to lay down some serious lead.
Mowing down a crowd with anything less than a 3 ton vehicle with good ground clearance would be futile. You might get 8 or 10 and scatter a few more, but you will be stopped and the results won't be in your favor. So you take out another 6 or 7 with the ammo you have on hand. Then what? You're the blurred image in the video taken by the hovering helicopter as the mob pulls you apart like a child would an insect. Go ahead. Be a hero. I'm going home to my wife and kids and I'll watch you on CNN.

Victimhood does not suit me. Remember Reginald Denny of the 1992 L.A. riots, the truck driver that was pulled from his truck and beat nearly to death by four thugs, protesting. The video of that incident stuck in my mind last night as I watched the helicopter video of vehicles being stopped on the highway by rioters. I don't think that it is legally wise to comment on what I might do on a public forum, but I would try my damnedest to survive, whatever it took.
 
Many years ago while overseas I saw the folks at the local air base deal with "protestors" outside the gate. They used the fire truck designed to fight aircraft fires, you know, the one with the big water cannon mounted over the cab. They washed the unhappy souls down the street like you would hose off the driveway.

Used foam so that they would slide easier...and smell real nice when they went home to Mama.

Repeat demonstrations were VERY rare.
 
Remember those cars in South Africa that had flame throwers on them that prevented car jackings...

You're saying you would do "x", "y" and "z", but you're not saying HOW you would do it.

If I'm on the Shoreway or I-90, where exactly is it you think I'm going to go?

And as far as running out of ammunition goes, we're not talking about the Yokosuka Special Naval Landing Force. They're dim witted lowlifes with no more of a "cause" than Richard Speck had against those nurses. Like him, they're just looking for helpless prey. Deray McKesson isn't their "emperor" and they're certainly not going to die for him if they can help it.

"Take out 6-7"? With the M1911, it's more like 15. With the Glock 19, it's a minimum of 30. There won't be too many wearing hachimaki in that crowd, never mind warriors wanting to fall like a cherry blossom.

If you're trapped with no retreat, you're either going to fight, or you're going down.

I may lose, but I damned well won't submit.

I've never viewed Reginald Denny as a role model.

And a lot of them (some of whom I've seen on the news) are going to be RCP, who uniformly look a lot more like Jim Gaffigan than Malcolm X. They've been trying to round up inner city cannon fodder for THEIR cause since the '80s.
 
Last I hear... one arrest? REALLY!!! One arrest?

It's a shame.... I feel for law enforcement. My son lives in Chicago and was talking to a cop there. Many LEO retiring or moving and no one coming in to replace them...

Everything is out of control and race baiting has been the norm over the last 8 years...

I could go on and on but I think most of you know exactly how I feel...
