Managed to catch the latest tv airing of the Walking Dean. Still don't know who got the baseball bat wrapped with razor wire but Glen Maggie's husband caught the bat and then had his skull bashed in. The rest were let go and were given a truck so that they could provide the new guy with whatever he wanted. Should be interesting next week. Frank

i wasnt one of the fans crying thru that episode, since we knew someone was gonna get it. But watching the attack on Glenn was disturbing; been a fan since day one but that scene (and the effects they used on him) was the first to affect me like that. Was NOT a good time to have a snack while watching tv lol

Abraham was the 1st. Glen got it cause after Negan killed Abraham Daryl took a swing at him. So Glen was lesson #2.

I had a feeling Abraham was going soon, I just figured it would be in a firefight or leading the zombies away from the group. The character gets killed last season so I had a hunch they kept him for some big death.

Revenge is a dish best served cold.

Michonne, Rick and Daryl left alive! Carole is still out there and Maggie is pretty ticked, to say the least! Sasha and Abraham were a "thing" and Morgan has discovered his "bad" side? Not to mention Carl!

All of those guys have shown they are (Or can be) pretty BA on occasion. Negan's days are numbered!

My wife watches it religiously but I only got glimpses of the show a few times including last night. I watched most of that scene where that guy is tormentiing everyone then bashing their heads in and thought, "Man. What a depressing waste of six minutes. People wait all week in pins and needles to see such carnage?". But that guy with the bat will go down as one of the best, or worse, villians of all time.
Then I saw part of the live cast interview afterwords and saw the red headed guy who my wife said got it first. I came in mid brain splatter when his head was already half bashed in so wouldn't have recognized him if I knew him anyway. After that she watched something equally uplifting called "The Strain". Cool looking monster/zombies in that one with tenticles or something shooting out of their mouths to kill people.

Plus, Morgan and Carol are with Ezekial in "The Kingdom". In the comics, it is Rick and Ezekial working together that lay the groundwork for Negan's capture.

I wish someone would kill that little ******* Carl already!

Our Sundays are usually the HBO series like Westworld (don't like VEEP or some of the political comedies!), Walking Dead and The Strain. We set up dinner in front of the TV.

Karma is b---- and it surely will be when it catches up with Negan!

You folks really get into this thing don't you? I've never seen it myself.
I love the show but won't be crying or sad about characters dying. It has always been an important part of the story.

Even when I was into The Sheid or Sons Of Anarchy I knew deaths were necessary for the story to go forward.

For us, it "hit harder" when it was more of a surprise, not tied to a cliff hanger with months in-between episodes where you knew at least one of the gang was gonna get it. The deaths of Maggie's dad and later her sister caught us off guard more so than Glenn; esp her dad.
You have to expect characters to come and go on TWD, and I'm sure this shocker of a season premiere is just the start of even better storylines to come.

All that and--WHERES THE PREACHER?

I know we all dislike Negan but he's actually the good guy here. Well..... maybe not a good guy but he didn't start this. Rick and Co. killed a dozen of his men!

Just playing devil's advocate

That's true but, Rick and his squad had no way-at least at first--unless ive missed something?) that any were Negens men-unless one (that Daryl destroyed with that rocket-launcher) had mentioned Negen-which i think he did??? Anyway-that Negen crewman who knows Daryl from farther back--ive never heard Negen's name way back when he and Daryl first clashed......

He was mentioned by the Colony. That's why Rick went after those guys. The Colony said that Negan and his men took much of what the Colony grew/made. If they were to stop sending their goods to Negan they could do business with Alexandria. Unfortunately, the Colony only knew what turns out to be Negan's sub station. They thought it was the base.
