It's a conspiracy I tell ya!
First the toilet doesn't work, tank won't fill. So, I give it new guts. Now that works. Then the tank starts leaking at the bolts that hold it to the commode. I just want to replace the seals and bolts but the wife wants a new toilet. Honestly now I wouldn't mind a new throne. Something with an oval front.
Okay, we're gonna pick one up in the next day or two.
Yesterday we get home after a good workout at the Y. I reach into the freezer section of our back porch fridge for a cold pack. Everything's thawed, both the refrigerator and freezer are room temperature. It's getting power, the compressor motor's running and the light works. It's just not getting cold.
Luckily, we didn't have any perishables in it at the time. Just ice packs and cold drinks.
Out where we live, everyplace is a road trip, we generally come down out of the mountains once a month or so and stock up 3 refrigerator freezers.
Okay, we'll need a new fridge now.
Then this morning, the kitchen light doesn't work. It's fluorescent and usually a fluorescent light'll do something when it's burned out. This did nothing, like the switch wasn't even turned on. It doesn't have a ballast instead it uses a starter. I'm thinking it's just the starter. Maybe we can pick one up while we're buying a toilet and shopping for refrigerators.
Oh yeah, our kitchen floor's falling apart. We're gonna do it ourselves with those stick down tiles.
Another thing to pick up.
Always seems like this stuff happens whenever I get close to scraping enough pennies together to go gun shoppin'.
Oh well, maybe next year.

Just for fun, our kitchen sink stopped draining. first I took all the pipes and traps out, nothing. I spent the last 4 hours or so snaking it out.
Didn't cost anything but ohh my aching back.

Good thing you got that Ram pick-up for that trip to Home Depot.
They say these thing happen in three's, so your probably done for now, hopefully.

Along with the elongated bowl shape, think about getting the comfort/chair height version, and don't forget to measure the rough-in.

Good luck.

Dont feel like the Lone Ranger. The only way I can get another "far-arm" is another bank loan which I do not want--or if I trade collectables--like I did recently--for another gun.

That's just country livin'. Anything that went wrong when I was living on the ranch required two trips to town for Itchy.

No matter how specific you were in describing what you needed, they never gave her the right thing the first time.

Sounds like MURPHY came to live at your place ! 😞

They call them "Money Pits" for a reason. Just got a estimate for the new fence around the back yard, $4300. Going to have to see if I can butter up the neighbors and get them to kick in their share. The ones just back of us should, as they have two big dogs. We shall see. We got a new roof after hail early this year but the deductible for the insurance was $5000. Put in a new AC/Heat unit complete with new ducts in March, $13000. Hopefully that will be it for big ticket items for a while.

That's one of the reasons we wanted a truck in the first place. In case we needed to haul something either in or out.
I'm hoping we're done, at least for a little while.
Did the measurin' but thanks for the heads up anyway.

That's another consideration.
My motor nerve condition's degenerative. Might need something that's easier to get on and off of before long.

You will thank yourself!
Think about a cushioned seat also!
We just added a different lid, that lovers itself quietly, instead of the slam!
Wife appreciates this after one of my late night trips!

As you know its the little things that smooth life out!
