Just had to go to the gun store and bring this home. With the option in calibers 460 S&W, 454 Casull, 45 Colt it is a winner. The availability and cost vs 500 S&W makes this the new member of the household.

Any one hunting with one of these? I hear the 460 S&W shoots flat.

Congrates on your new acquisition.

Yes I have and hunt with one, actually several different 460s.

There are several other forum members also hunt with this model.

Good luck and be safe

Gatekeeper.. this thread says it ALL on the 460PC..
Personally--l have been shooting mine in Field Pistol Competition
at a range in Gainesville Ga this year..
0nly downside to shooting is the EXTREME difficulty l had cleaning
the cylinder after shooting 45 Colt loads for practice. l CURED
that problem by hand loading...
Mechanically its one of the best made Smith&Wesson firearms l
have ever fired...Great trigger, Precise lockup, Laser Accuracy..

I've discovered that Colonel Brassy is the best way to go. Easily removing blast rings on cylinders and frames. Does it quick and clean.

Just cleaning this and discovered a potential crack starting on one of the cylinder flukes. Called Smith and Wesson am getting a return label emailed. The Colonel Brassy helped making it noticeable.

bit of a silly question..... is it possible to remove the compensator ? :-)
that is without machining it off :-D

Okay, the handgun is back and the scope is mounted. If this cartoonish looking thing is shooting, you wouldn't want to be on receiving end. You better hide or run like a cheetah. 1700 FPS at 100 yards dead center target (2" armor).
