S&W Pistol Rebates Coming?

Ya seriously....

I hit it at midnite....site didnt change.

I hit it when I got up (about 0750)...site didnt change.

Called and they didnt answer (open at 0800)

Waited a few till 0800...back to the site, and it had all changed.....order placed:D

Owner replied to my email the other day (about the veracity of this whole thing) and said S&W had given them an extrordinary deal on thier shipment. So at least there is a new shipment. Dunno how many pieces an online shop orders but its gotta be quite a lot I would think.

Although I find the rebate most perplexing ????

I understand they are trying to get rid of the existing inventory on the shield's. But why ?? Originally thought that it was in anticipation of the rumored new Shield and Bodyguard 2.0 model that some S&W insiders have been speaking of....but then again, if they flood the market place with the current model would that not hurt sales of a 2.0 model??????:confused::confused:

I will purchase the 2.0 Shield if the rumors are true but I kinda feel like a lot will not because they just got one with the rebate.

But then again, as my wife used to say..."What the hell do you know about anything"...??????
I think it's simply supply catching up with demand. Sales have slowed and it's better to sell cheaper than not at all.

Buds is confusing

Anyone here understand Buds gun shop?.......?????

They are showing the shield 45 nts for 395.00 cash price.
(first one on the page)...and yet at the bottom of the page the same gun is out of stock ????????????????:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Also the one they show in stock at 395.00 is $96.00 more that what Whittaker's was selling the same gun for this morning before going out of stock......

Can someone explain buds gun shop to me ????? thanks

Looks like Bud's hasn't gotten the message yet.

BTW, check out Bud's Qualified Professional section. Better prices for the most part than the regular Bud's prices though selection is limited.

Bud's doesn't always have the best prices around, sometimes even LGS can beat them, but it's worth a look, imo, others differ.

Whittakers....all Shield platforms...299

9mm....380....45acp

Plus the rebate....your out 225+ shippin

My 3 were 30 bucks so Im guessin 10 for each

You guys enjoy....sorry to the crew who bought recently.

I had a Shield .45 in my cart last night for $349, and waited until this morning to complete the order. Got caught up with kid stuff this morning and when I went to check out my cart, I saw them marked down to $299! I was so excited, until I saw that they are sold out! Thanks guys... ;0 Oh well, you snooze, you lose!

So, I went on Slickguns and found another deal, for $349 with free shipping (gunbuyer.com), and pulled the trigger. Not too bad, the price delta, minus the $16 in shipping that Whittaker would have charged, is just $33 more...

I'm still bummed about paying $320 shipped for a Shield 9mm a week and a half ago. You think S&W will honor any rebates that are a week before April 1?

I do feel bad for the local dealers, but I give them plenty of business normally. My local guys, with decent prices, had the .45 Shield for $430 OTD, and another was $430 + tax. That's a big difference in price from the Online deals this time. I don't mind paying a little bit more to keep it local, but when it gets around $50 more, I start to consider options, at $100 more it's a no-brainer...

I don't know, but I'm going to try and send in my rebate to see. I just purchased my 45 this week.

Any thoughts on the rebate terms to get more than one model of the Shield? Picked up a 45 today at a local shop who had it for $365 before MIR. Wouldn't mind a 40 also.

Terms are vague with it potentially being a rebate good for one of each of the models (eg. you can get a rebate for 1 Shield, 1 Bodyguard, etc). It could also be read as M&P Shield 45 is one model, M&P Shield 40 is another model. Tried calling the number but probably too late as I didn't get an answer.

Offer limited to one rebate per each NEW model M&P Shield® Pistol, M&P® Bodyguard® 380 Pistol, or Smith & Wesson® SD™ or SDVE™ Pistol purchased between April 1,
2017 and June 30, 2017.
