Need your opinion on SW9VE

sd9ve works well

i put 2,000 round in mine with in 30 days i also installed a m&p night site with a hammer and a drill bit also i beat the hell out of this pistol and polished it....costly project of mine anyways with the beat down and used it like its stolen it still works 3,900 rounds
i think it lasted better then the glock but thats how i see it...apex springs and trigger/recoil spring and stainless guidrod with steal sites and w.e upgradesyou can find you will love that pistol forever

Pros;
1) They are built like a tank.
2) They will eat ANY kind of ammo you feed them.
3) They are priced very low for such a quality firearm. This means you can buy the SD9VE & SD40VE for the same price as (1) Glock.
4) They go "BANG" every time you pull the trigger.

Cons;
1) They are called "A Poor Mans Glock."
2) S&W has just recently introduced new versions of the SDVE series. If you're married, this is a problem! If you're single, you've hit the lottery! :D
No matter which SDVE you buy, you won't be sorry. These guns are way under rated and people will take note that they are equal to a Glock, but for almost half the price as what the Glock sells for.($539 VS $279-$299)

Please educate me, what you mean they have introduced new versions? Im waiting on a SDVE and wonder what version I will get?

I think this thread is confusing people between the SWVE and SDVE. My SW40VE had failure to feed problems on three occasions since it's purchase in 2012. At this time it's been with S&W for over two months waiting for repair. When it's on it's on... but mine has proven unreliable.

My SW9VE broke two strikers in less than 200 rounds. I no longer trust it and only use it for plinking. S&W repaired it quickly but it is what it is.

SW9VE is a beast. Not pretty but feels great in the hand. Apex after market parts and new sights provide a terrific low cost, accurate shooter. Dependable to say the least.

Do yourself a favor, spend $100 more dollars and buy a quality S&W. you can find the S&W M&P M2.0 for $429 on slickguns.com

I've had my SD9VE for about 4 years now and have put hundreds of rounds through it with no ftf or any other malfunctions. It makes a great edc. It's as solid as any other pistols I've used and that covers a lot. I switched to the 9mm due to the cost of .45 ammunition. I also have a .40 that I love and the ammo is about the same as the 9mm.
