New to revolvers...

That one will carry nicely in a pocket holster or in waist band (IWB). I have the same Altamont grips on my 642 that I carry both ways. That should be a fun gun. Enjoy.

I like it. Have not had a revolver in many years and this snubby looks like what I have in mind. Really like the small stuff myself.

Nice revolver Brian. These things have a way of multiplying. I don't know how it happens but it does. Be careful because soon there could be many of them.Congratulations on a fine tool!

good one to be "new" to revos with... problem is, you end up with many! my J frame list currently includes, 637-2, 442-2, 638-1, 640, 60-1, 360J, 34, and a 317. be careful friendo, especially if you have a lovely wife like i do. she too has the J fever however...

Very nice revolver, I have one and it has turned out to be the most carried....just right size, weight and power .
I consider a hammer on a revolver a +.
Time to go shooting !

Thanks for the replies, guys. I've taken her out and put about 200 rounds through her. The first 100 killed my hand--wasn't quite ready for that snap! ;-) My shots were all over the place...
That said, after several hours of research and youtube videos (thank you Hickok45!), I went back and was able to place my shots much more accurately. This really is a nice gun...

I have a 642. Nice gun! Nothing special but it's great for whatit is and I use it on most of my dog walks. Semi autos are more national to me so I carry them when out but the 642 definitely has it's spot in concealed carry

It's NOT a disease. He's become a J-hound, like the rest of us in that elite circle. :) Regret to report Snubbyfan's cats, the club's secretaries, have fallen woefully behind on J-hound membership cards.
