I just got through slicing up sticks of pepperoni. We add it to tomatoe sauce in a sauce pan, simmer the pepperoni till tender. When the pepperoni is tender we slice the green beans in half and add it to the sauce pan. Cook the green beans till there tender but not over cooked. Serve with fresh italian or French bread with butter.

Tomato sauce, fry garlic in olive oil, don't burn it, add tomatoes, basil, oregano and stir. Let simmer.

Another meal from the homeland. Each area of Italy or town or city cooks a tad different. My people are from Naples. Enjoy.

Dammit, man. I'm trying to stay on my diet and here you come along with this about the pepperoni and beans. Stop talkin' about food...go back to feral cats or something, okay?

Green beans grow like weeds so many, I like them boiled in butter but can only eat so many.

I just tried chicken boneless breast in the George Forman with chicken seasoning. Wow is that great.

What...you're gonna keep cooking and eating the rest of the night? And telling us about it? Nothing like rubbing it in, huh?

Pepperoni/green beans will soak till supper tomorrow.

I'm thinking a English muffin with a coffee right now.

We have a neighborhood patel gas station/stop&rob that has the best fried chicken ever. My wife buys her gas there and is a regular customer. Today she goes in for a 12 piece chicken box and the owner says "you good customer. I'll make you fresh. 15 minutes." Well worth the wait. :)

Wish we had a mess of those pepperoni green beans but we made do with fresh corn and homegrown tomatoes.

I'm on a melon kick right now. Homegrown watermelons and cantaloupe are at their peak. Been a dry season so sugar content is high and they are really good.

We had the last of Mom's meat loaf with mac n cheese and green beans tonight. I think I may have to pull the makings for my crockpot chicken & gravy out of the freezer tomorrow. Maybe I can convince Mom to make some salmon patties later this week. They make great lunch sandwiches with a slice of provolone the next day. Still have some venison sausage and ground venison in the freezer that I am saving for fall. Then I can make some jambalaya and chili out of them.

Our nearby Randalls has had some huge cantaloupe recently that have been very good and sweet. I have one on the counter now that I need to cut up. Love it with breakfast.

Pepperoni is an American invention. No such thing exists in Italy.

It sounds wonderful, but I'd skip the beans, as I'm not a big fan. But for the rest of it, oh yeah!

I have chicken thighs marinating in sesame oil and soy sauce right now, which I'll be grilling in a little while, and then eating with jasmine rice and Korean BBQ sauce.

No, not in a little while. I'm firing up the grill right now. This has really made me hungry!

Sounds great! I'm gonna try this! I'm only 25% Italian!

With all those green beans, try tempura batter and frying them. We occasionally make tempura with fish and sweet potatoes too.

I would argue this like many other things that America has adapted to their own liking but I have no proof.

If your idea of pepperoni is what we put on pizza it's not what I grew up on.We used to eat a stick of pepperoni that was shriveled like a raisin. It was dark brown and nothing like the Hormel products we see today.Pepperoni comes sliced in different sizes in the United States so who can argue that the dried salami the Italians made wasn't a pepperoni as well.

If it tastes good...Who really cares who created it ! :)

Well tonight supper was awesome. The pepperoni and string beans was perfect.

We made another dish with fresh green beans too in tomato sauce we cut up hotdogs in the sauce. Another ok meal something different.

I been cutting back to lose weight, today was a no calorie day. Everything has no calories in it lol. Tomorrow it's coffee, English muffin no lunch, just a little supper with a salad.
