Today I won a GB auction and put another feather in my S&W hat... scored a 6904. Coool.

I picked-up a 4013TSW a few mos ago and it blew new life into a dormant passion of mine, that of the 3G semiautos. A 1006 is is on my radar for 2018.

Over the years this forum has helped me (through the magic of Google and necro-threads) with everything from my Walther P99s to my Lew Horton Model 29 (gone now, sadly). With the couple of new additions, a handful of Model 10s, and a 4" 686 on board it seemed like I should join the forum and go all-in... no more lurking.

I've been heavily into the Euro-trash recently as I rebuild my "collection" after my (one and only) particularly nasty ex-wife sold all of my guns while I was on the road. HKs, SiGs, and Walthers have replaced my CZs, Smiths, one irreplaceable Colt Python, Ruger revolvers, blah blah blah.

Enough about the poor, unfortunate Jonny Y. I'm just glad that I was able to rekindle the flame that I have for 3rd gen autos (I have not a single M&P), something I'd lost in the plastic fantastic world of modern semiautos.

Thanks, fellas. I'll probably be a PITA for awhile... asking dopey questions, getting to know everyone... just being a noob. But I'm really glad I finally joined and hope to be able to contribute from time to time.
Welcome from the high desert of Arizona
I love Prescott Valley and, of course, Whiskey Row in Prescott proper. I spent a good chunk of my 20s stomping around central AZ looking for gold, abandoned mines, and ghost towns. I sold my shack in Goodyear for stupid-money during "The Bubble" ('04, I think) and moved to OR because I thought AZ was getting Californicated... what a wake-up call that was. OR looks great on paper, but I'm ready to go back to AZ or, more realistically, head east to ID.

Take a close look at Salmon, Idaho.......I have grown to love that town and the surrounding area. I have been going there to hunt elk every Sept for several years. And Elmer Keith lived there for the last part of his life as most know. In fact I am friends with the son of Sheriff Bill Baker who was the sheriff for 30+ years there for Lemhi County and Sheriff Baker was there during Elmer's time.
Do a search for "Elmer Keith" and you will find some photos I have posted of the old days in Salmon.
Let me know if you end up checking it out!!

@THREEDFLYER, oh yeah... I'm familiar with Elmer Keith. I've got Hell, I Was There! on my bookshelf.
My GF is from Spokane (WA is out of the question for me) so we've been considering Cour D Alene and Post Falls. I also like Salmon, Bonner's Ferry, etc. I still have to work, though, so that's a consideration.
