Most of the time I like relatively simple burgers. My favorite is a bacon cheeseburger with sharp cheddar cheese, lettuce (or spinach), tomato, onions, relish, and dressing (either thousand island dressing or a mix of ketchup, mayo, and mustard). I'll probably be the odd one here (big surprise!) in that I like both the burger and the bacon well-done. I actually like the burger when it's a little crispy on the outside.

Mushroom and Swiss cheese is another combo I like.

I like turkey burgers. Best turkey burger I had was at the Burger Bar in St. Louis, which I recently learned is no longer there. :(

I also enjoy hypocrite burgers, which are veggie burgers with bacon. :D

Another favorite uses a grilled portobello mushroom cap in place of meat.

A Reuben burger? Nope.

I've had that before. Loved it.

Adding grilled pineapple slices on the meat/ possibly?

I've seen teriyaki burgers with pineapple, but have never tried one.

Peanut butter??????

I've known a couple of people who've tried peanut butter burgers. They said the flavors actually work really well together. I'll take their word for it. ;)

ContinentalOp,

Heinz right now is test marketing
a ketchup/mayor combo. If any
good, then you'll just need to get
the mustard.

I have a friend who always mixes mayo
and ketchup for his fries.

I heard about that. I may be lazy, but I'm not that lazy. :D

And I've used the same mix of condiments for fries. Tartar sauce is another favorite for fries.

This is very similar to how I make mine.

I eat cheeseburgers all the time. This is what they usually consist of: 1/2 pound burger patty. I season it well, then fry it in a skillet over med. high heat, until crisp on both sides, but med. rare in the middle. Finish with melted sharp cheddar, crisp bacon, and 1000 island dressing. Occasionally carmelized onions, depending if I already have some cooked up. (true carmelized, not grilled) This all goes on a toasted brioche style bun.

This is the burger that will be served in Heaven!

I like burgers with sharp cheddar and bacon or bleu cheese, grilled mushrooms and bacon. I'm really not big on the traditional lettuce and tomato, but I'll try most anything once. The problem of late is finding a restaurant that will cook burgers medium rare. At home it is a sin to over cook a burger.

Grilled some last night along with Hebrew Nat'l dogs.
Local market had some patties with some bacon and cheddar chunks mixed in. Not sure what exactly the beef was but while nice and juicy the rendered fat did not flare up when flipped. I miss that crispy little bit of char while the inside is barely pink.
Didn't taste much of the bacon cheddar, maybe covered up by the slices of onion and tomato topped with yellow American.
Buns toasted of course.

I pretty much keep my burgers simple. Less is usually more

This is always a great combo. It's a breakfast double cheese burger with plenty of bacon, and topped with a drippy egg. The full size Sig P320 in 45acp is for protection against neighbors trying to steal my burgers ;)

This combo turned out very good. I call it my three little pigs burger. It's a 1/2 burger seated on pork roll, bacon, and topped with pulled pork. It's a fantastic combination!

Grilled Cajun cheeseburger with fresh lettuce, tomato and onion. And it better be red and dripping. Even better with grilled buns that were brushed with butter and garlic powder.

On the Reuben-its the saurkraut im resisting, but not the extra meat added. Ill rethink on the others though.

My favorite take on this is our local Irish Pub has something called a "Meltie" on their menu. You can get with corned beef, Irish bacon, chicken or bacon jam. They are really delicious with a pint of your favorite beer.

Cheeseburger, cheeseburger, cheeseburger that's what I'm talking about.

Carmalized fried onions with sweet onions, ketchup, salt, black pepper, fried in olive oil.

Put a burger in a grill cheese with these onions and bacon. Betcha won't eat too many. My limit was three as a youngster.
