S&W Model 48-4 and 37

Congratulations on a great find. I like
Estate Sales. One never knows what you
will find at them.

Thank you for the pictures.

I also like those Revolvers. I the perfect
condition their in, I would be hard pressed
to shoot them.

If you do shoot them please give us a
Range Report.

Wow. Just Wow!! I only have a couple of guns in that kind of condition, and they are a mixed blessing. I am primarily a shooter, and when I have something that nice, its hard to convince myself to shoot it, and if I don't shoot it, that bugs me also!!

But you did really well. Beautiful. thanks for sharing.

Best Regards, Les

Reminds me of a very old friend of mine who I grew up with in the 1960s...

Saw him for the first time since the 1970s last year. He likes to "antique" at small shops... He goes into this one place and finds a box of movie posters that he wants a few of for his "man cave". He buys the box for $15.00. Gets it home and starts going through them. When the box is empty he looks in the bottom and there are two more small ones rolled up... He pulls them out and the paper is "different"...and when he unrolls them they are paintings...by Pablo Picasso... He has them checked and sure enough they are the real deal...$15K each...

I hope you agonize over the decision to shoot them or not.
Just Kidding.
Congratulations. They are beautiful.

Hahaha, I'm with you on that one! I found (3) mint "J" frames at an estate sale several years ago. One blued round butt and one nickel square butt were un-fired outside the factory. The other nickel round butt "J" had maybe a hand full of cylinders fired thru it. I fixed all that soon enough because I couldn't stand to have something that nice and just set it in a safe... It just didn't seem right. All of them get regular use now. Use, not abused I should say as I take care of my things and especially things that we depend on to keep the family safe. I'll probably never ever make a find like that again and neither will you OP. Good job, and enjoy both of those fine pieces. I really enjoy that M37... Thanks for sharing!
