Milwaukee Brew Crew is red got. Tied the Cubs so they are playing for a guaranteed post season slot vs a wild card single game play-in. If it ends in a tie a one game playoff settles it.

And Christian Yelich has a shot at the first NL triple crown in 80 years. Kid has come up huge down the stretch and his kid brother is a marine who just fullfilled his service this week. Saw his brother play live for the first time in years and Yelich knocked the cover off the ball

Dodgers and the Rockies are same way in NL west. Final day of the season all tied up. Tomorrow is a big day.

Did you see CC Sabathia throw a half a million dollars away by hitting a batter in a beanball retaliation? Also got a MLB fine and 5 game suspension to serve in 2019. CC is a god among his teamates and I like his style. :)

FTA:
ST. PETERSBURG -- CC Sabathia chose to back his teammates over the potential of padding his back pocket, potentially leaving $500,000 on the Tropicana Field mound when he was ejected two innings shy of a contractual bonus on Thursday afternoon.

Sabathia said that he was aware of the bonus, which he would have triggered by recording six more outs in the Yankees' 12-1 victory over the Rays. Answering an up-and-in fastball to Austin Romine took precedence.

"I don't really make decisions based on money, I guess," said Sabathia, who hit the Rays' Jesus Sucre with a pitch in the sixth inning. "I just felt like it was the right thing to do." . . .

I had the pleasure of watching Yelich for a few years while he played down here and thought he was about a fine all around player I've seen in some time. Good on either side of the ball with a sweet swing and a great stride.

Since ownership decided to break up the best outfield in baseball I've tracked Christian best I could and am pleased with his success.

Very exciting last day , for sure ! Lifelong, die hard Cub fan here and I'm also a realist who speaks my mind. The Cubs just don't have the spark this year, I've heard a million excuses but IMO the fact is they're lucky to be where they are. I know from being a baseball fan my whole life ANYTHING can happen in October, I don't think we have a top 4 team, not even close, I just have to hope the baseball Gods smile down on my Cubbies like they did in 2016. I'm also glad it's the brew crew instead of those pesky red birds lol.

My Cardinals rolled over and died but Miles Mikolas was the find of the year in MLB going 18-4 and the Memphis Redbirds won the Triple A Championship.

Perhaps we can end the year right by beating the Cubs.

Yeah, I've got one last wear for the Cardinals gear today before it heads to the back of the closet. Time to break out the Blues shirts . . .
