Got a lead on an unfired 1976 M29-2 the other day. Bright nickel, 8-3/8”, presentation box with all papers and tools, even has the original cardboard box it came in. Any idea of a value on something like this?

super nice gun, love it!

If you can get it for $1K, take and run...fast.

other than that I think:
$1200: good deal
$1400 about right
If you must have it: $1500
anything else is too high.

I am saying this because I feel the market a bit soft right now.

I saw a totally unfired complete set like yours in the more desirable 4'' at a show recently not even sell at $1350. They would have taken $1200.
Paid $1450 2 years ago for a 6.5 blue full set unfired which is more desirable.

If its shot every other hole, and truly new 100% no issues. I am a buyer at 1800.00. That's not an appraisal that's an offer. The market is as strong as it has ever been on NIB vintage Smiths. NIB perfect being the key.

I have no idea what it's worth. Where is it? I'll run by and take a look at it...give you my opinion later.

That’s the original price tag, as far as I know. Although maybe it got resold somewhere along the line and someone put that tag on it.
