Quality leather belt holster for Shield 2.0 9mm

SIGfever, I have the Desantis mini-scabbard for the .45 Shield and it does not slide on the belt at all while being worn. I also like the tension screw, so I can loosen/tighten to the draw speed I want. Best of luck in finding what works for you.

I actually just got one of the Stinger holsters. Just came in yesterday and I am trying to get it to fit my .45 shield better. It is still too tight to use. I am going through the steps they say to do to get the fit just right. It involves putting the gun in some plastic bags and letting it sit in the holster for some period of time to get it stretched out a bit.

It is a very nice looking holster, and seems well built. Time will tell if it is going to stretch out enough to use. Otherwise it will be going back under the return period.

The plastic bag trick does work, try lightly heating the holster with a hair dryer to warm the leather before putting the plastic wrapped pistol into the holster. Then let it sit a couple of days if possible.

Actually a couple of layers of wax paper works better than a plastic bag. Same procedure, let it sit a couple of days.

Check out Winthrop holsters. I have four of the OWB pancake variants for various handguns. Good quality, affordable, conceal well, and hold gun tight to body.

I was looking at their pancake model, looks very nice for the money. There are too many great holsters out there to choose from. The Galco "Concealable" is all day comfortable and the Winthrop looks a lot like the Galco.

I have been extremely pleased with my Winthrop holsters. I highly recommend them. Call them if you have any questions. They will send you photos of the actual holster you are interested in if you want to see them. I recently bought one for my Walther P99c, but they didn't offer one for that specific model. I was wondering if the PPQsc model would work. Mike sent photos to me. I bought one...perfect fit. I also have them for my CZ P-01, CZ 75B, and S&W M&P 380 Shield EZ. All fit perfectly.

Well, it worked. I put a total of 5 freezer bags over the pistol, heated up the holster with a hair dryer, inserted the pistol into the holster and left it for a little over 2 days. It now will go in and out of the holster fairly well. I plan on leaving the pistol in the holster for a few more days when not using it.

It is a very nice looking holster, and I think it will be fine after it takes a good fit to the pistol.

I second that... I carry my Jframes, M&P 2.0 4", Walther PPS M2, Shield 9mm, and Shield 45 all in the Desantis OW B pancake holsters... I own 5 of them and counting. They conceal well, have a small footprint, and there's no long wait or high prices... They do the same job as the more expensive holsters IMHO.. Needless to say, I've been very happy with mine...

This is the same holster I use, very comfortable. It's form fitted to the Shield plus it has a pressure screw to increase retention.

No sir, it does not slide on the belt. Now, with that said, if you wear a cheap thin narrow belt any of the OWB may slide.

I just received the Desantis Mini-Scabbard today. It is a well made holster but the 1.75" belt openings allow it to shift from 15 degree cant to 5 degree cant. It also does not hold the pistol as tight to my side as does the Galco "Concealable". Galco contacted me and verified that they do not make the Concealable model for the Shield and said that I should try the Combat Master. It looks bigger than the Concealable model and I fear it will not conceal as well.

There are so many nice holsters you guys listed, and the Wright Leather pancake looks small and appears to pull the pistol into the gentleman's side on one of their pictures. The lead time is a tough wait. The Winthrop also looks like it will pull the holster into your side pretty well.

Do you think that the Combat Master is better than the Concealable model?

The Combat Master is similar but with less cant. I think the Concealable is a better design. It's more comfortable and conceals the gun just a bit better.

Just received my Bianchi "Remedy" pancake holster today. This is exactly what I was looking for, great quality, cant, and pulls the pistol tight to the side. Mine is black and the gentleman never used it, he sold his Shield. It came in the original packaging and it is obvious that it is brand new. It is not too tight or too loose, but holds the pistol well. The craftsmanship is top notch and it has 1.5" belt cuts which is what I wear.

Great choice. I'm wearing one of those as I type...carrying my S&W model 49 revolver. You'll be pleased with it.
