Need new parts

Had an out-of-battery det this morning with Remington Golden Bullets. Not shocking with that ammo. I lost the extractor. Took it home and also found the firing pin was broken. I put in an email to S&W to purchase replacements.

I also ran across a new outfit selling stainless steel FPs. Firing Pin Parts M&P 15-22 Stainless Steel Firing Pin Firing Pins

Anyone use one?

How about the Tacticool22 extractors or Volquartsen extractors?

Have not used the ss firing pin, still have several I purchased from S&W for half that price. I am using a Volquartsen extractor and have had no problems.

If you call S&W and find the right customer service rep, they will send you the parts at no cost. Key is finding a rep that can think off script. Also have you serial number handy, they usually ask for it when requesting parts.

As far as aftermarket, both Tacticool22 and Tandemkross sell extractors, plungers and springs. Volquartsen only sells the extractor but also has a carbon fiber replacement barrel available.

I have used VQ, T22 and TK extractors, they work as advertised.

I called S&W today. They said the parts are on the way. Should be 7-10 days.

I also ordered some extractors from Tacticool on Saturday. They were in my mailbox today. OR to GA in 2 days. Wow. Thank you for great service Tacticool22.
