These were just posted. Thought I'd bring them to your attention in case there are any Model 76 fans out there.

First video is a detailed explanation of the gun.

Second video is the gun in action.

on my bucket list to shoot... I know a few MG collectors... no one has one... and I have never seen one in the wild... just in the Dirty Harry movie Magnum Force... if I hit the lottery... it goes on the hit list... to own

I have had the pleasure of shooting S&W M76's, great shooting subguns! I really wish that I was able to buy one pre 86 when my LGS had them for $400.

A Swedish K is a little nicer, and a MP5 out classes it, but it is still a fine subgun!

My dept had several when I started in 1975. I got to shoot them a lot after I became one of the range officers and they were fun guns. From a simpler time. Very basic, which also means there was virtually noting to go wrong.

When we were selling them off, I could have bought one, ours were all "transferable", but let the chance slip away.

Best Regards, Les

Back around 70-71 my department bought four of them. I carried one of them in the trunk of my cruiser with four loaded 30 round mags. I would shoot it frequently whenever ammo was available. Fun guns. Around 1984 a non gun admin guy sold them off, along with two Thompson's and several model 97 Winchester's for next to nothing. Much fun to shoot.

I got a little trigger time on Bofors 40mm. Duster M42s a SP dual 40s. A
little known weapon that was last used by US in RVn. They were already obsolete for use on jets but were handy for anti personnel use. They were
brought back from Reserve and Guard units and sent to RVn. After RVn they were sent to our "friends" in Middle East, like Iran, Iraq and Jordan.

Swedish K was my go to outside the USA...close to the 76 in design ...uses the same mag. Worthless at 100 yds...25 yds and under hose. I was shocked at how many there throughout the world.

I believe there is a machine gun dealer who sets up at the Medina County gun show that has one of these for sale. Not sure if it's a SW 76 or one of the MK 760 copies. I will see how much he is asking for his if it's legit this coming weekend. He has some other fun little items that are probably out of my budget at the moment.

One of many Class III weapons I wish I had never gotten rid of. One of the smoothest running subguns I ever owned. With a suppressed barrel on it and running subsonic ammunition, it literally sounded like a sewing machine running. Sadly I let it go long before my current interest in S&W's. I wish I still had it....
My avatar shows me shooting it back in the day. :(
