Looks like a 1966 vintage 2.5 inch model 19.
IIRC this was the first year that the 2.5 inch
became standard production.
Honest wear for a 53 year old workin gun.
Tight and right...bore lockup as new.

I also recently picked up a first year 2.5 inch model 19. Checked the serial # and it is K6842xx, so not too far off from yours. It is surprising how accurate these little guns can be-mine shoots as well as any 4" or 6" I have...and they can become addictive!
