As of now they are transporting Mike to hospice. The cancer has spread throughout his body and when asked the doctors told him it could be weeks to a few months. Mike said he was glad they were upfront about it and he doesn't want to linger and suffer.

He also said how blessed he has been to have such a large forum family and thanks you all for caring.

I will report back when I know more.

markeb lives 1/2 mile away and is going to visit Mike regularly to keep us updated.

Me too. I hope so for Mike's sake.
Here's hoping the present caring of a bunch of good people help him through his remaining time. I'm really sorry to hear this - may God grant his caretakers compassion and comfort Mike through a peaceful and pain-free passage.

I'm glad he's well enough to be out of the hospital. I just hope that with the hospice care he will be receiving, his pain will be managed and he will be able to breathe comfortably.

Thanks be to God for the blessings that He bestows, including the friendship of a guy like our Mike. My prayers of gratitude and for Mike's relief of pain and worry will continue daily.

And I sure hope he'll have a way to get back on the Forum with us in his new location. If there's anything we can do to help make that happen, Rusty, be sure to say the word.

I'm very sad to read this. He always seemed like a nice guy on the forum. This stuff is never easy and all we can hope for is relief from his pain and a peaceful end.
