Colt 6940

While the world & internet spins out of control about Colt moving their AR Rifle Civilian production line to focus on Mil/LE contracts, I found this like new 6940 today for $1099. Barrel dates to 4/13.

Doesn't look fired much. Prior to retiring, this is what my old Dept. used to issue (although I never got one).

For those that still like Colt's.

Had one and liked it. Not sure of the necessity of the one piece rail/upper and the four rails are now old school. Another officer has it now.

I have a safe full of top tier black rifles. The old school, utterly reliable Colt 6940 is the most accurate AR that I own.

Good to know. I'm probably going to have to let go one of my 6920's to afford this one. I should be able to drop on a light and Aimpoint, and this thing should be GTG.

I had a 6940. Absolutely the most accurate AR I ever shot too. My experience was a total of one, but they have an excellent reputation.
