Am I the only one who read this as "Killed in Action: Telluride" and clicked on in concern? (I love Telluride. The place, not the Kia - don't know anything about the Kia other than I've never been particularly impressed with the feel of them or their Hyundai stablemates.)

Nope. I did the same.

I believe Kia and Hyundai slipped into the market segment vacated by Honda when the latter became a bit too proud of themselves. By all accounts, well made, dependable vehicles. We purchased a Hyundai Elantra for our daughter seven years when she opted for junior college over university for the first two years of her education and she still has it. Approaching 100K and not a lick of trouble.

My second car is a Chevrolet Spark(it was made in SK, it used to be Daewoo). I have since 2010. It never failed me.:D

Not a Telluride, but a friend has a 2 year old Sorrento with the v-6 and 4wd (AWD?) Its a heck of a nice SUV. No problems with it, tows his 4 wheeler just fine, and goes great off road in the snow, places I would think twice about with my little 4wd Escape.

I don't have a Telluride, but I have a 2009 Kia Borrego, which is about the same size. It is an excellent vehicle. 3.8l V8 with an OD automatic and select-able 4WD. 125k on the clock and I've only replaced a front driveline and an AC compressor. Otherwise just routine oil changes a couple of tuneups and a couple of sets of tires.
