I often think: "Man, there are going to be a lot of revolvers on the market soon. Don't buy now - prices are going to drop like crazy!"

This poll does not dissuade me from that take.

Yes, probably like '56 Chevy convertibles.
My grandsons don't know what they are, and don't care.

Best,
Rick

" And with all of the US Navy members of this Forum, I often wonder if they have ever seen a wooden hull mine sweeper, much less ever served in one."

The DE 369 I was on crushed one in Bayonne, N.J. pier when docking on a Sunday afternoon.... :(
And getting old is not for wimps! :)

Our navy bought 4 Agile class minesweepers in 1955. They were in use until 1974.

I find it somehow comforting that I fall into the 2nd most populated category. Where ever YOU fall I hope everyone is aware that one of the reasons this is the best website on WWW, along with our great leadership of course, is the fact that it is populated with "mature" members. We have all learned to live and let live, be patient with those that are not exactly like us, and have a better perspective on how the world works and how best to get along in it. As I like to say, pain is a good teacher. I know I have learned a lot from it.

Most of the social media I'm familiar with dealing with a specific topic; fishing, guns, etc. is populated with so many intolerant know-it-alls, cry babies, and socially inept, ie, young people, that it's just no fun to hang out there.

I used to frequent about half a dozen forums but now I'm down to this one and a fishing site that I've been on since it's beginning (about 21 years. Just like this one it has a very special webmaster. Not only is he my friend but he is also nearly 7 feet tall and can take out the trash. ;^)
