It often seems like the only thing that changes is the date, the time and the place.

Logistics?

A factor in the British failure is that instant communication was non-existent and they had to project their strength across the Atlantic with sail boats. Even in modern times, the longer the supply lines, the more difficult the mission.
Please don't misread me. I'm not advocating armed insurrection. There are at least one half-million uniformed police officers in America, the federal LE agencies, the national guard, 23 states with state militias and the U.S. military. They're already here and they don't need supply lines. The gun-control battle must be won by lawful means at the ballot box.

1775.
General Gage, British Governor of Massachusetts received instruction from the King and military generals to seize all stores of weapons and gunpower accessible to American insurgents at
Lexington & Concord.

Now, it's some in our own government that want to do the same thing.......:(

Not just "some" Master Chief, many...And ironically, the days of King George & General Gage are virtually alive & well in that socialist stronghold today. Another beautiful, once great state ruined by liberalism.
