Anyone been to a gun show lately, especially in Pennsylvania.
Masks?
Social distancing?
Lots of dealers?
Lots of attendees?
People buying?
Any ammo for sale?

No, Not since last year. None in southwest Michigan that I know of. Really wish we had a different governor. The tyrant Queen hates guns and crowds unless she's protesting with them. would like to go to a show.

I went to one in Gillette, WY about 10 days ago and it was pretty much business as usual. There were a few people with masks, most did not have one. Crowd wasn’t shoulder to shoulder but there was a fair number of folks, some ammo and quite a few guns. Picked up two old flat top Ruger Blackhawks from 1958 and 1960 - always had a soft spot for them. We’re still pretty much land of the free here. If you don’t want to be around others you don’t have to. Just stay home and let the rest of us be.

I’ve been to three shows local to Port Charlotte, Fl since COVID hit. Yep...masks, (attempted)social distancing, fewer vendors and tables spread out. A lot of attendees, maybe more than before because of all the extra room. Once everyone is in the show and jockeying to see what’s on the tables, social distancing kind of goes out the window. I’m going to one of the bigger shows in Lakeland tomorrow, the Lakeland Rifle & Pistol Club show and I’m curious how it will compare to the same show this past January. Last show was crowded with two buildings full of people and vendors. Made a nice deal on an early M58, so I was happy. I’ll report back and let you guys know how it was.

Just had one this past weekend in Mobile, pretty good number of dealers, crowd mostly wore masks. some dealers were hesitant to wear mask. Lots of guns, all overpriced for my budget but cash talked. My son sets up with mostly magazines and ammo and did pretty well. He sold a gun or two and bought a couple. Sent a couple of friends to my pawn shop buddy to shop for reasonable prices on Jeminez and such.

No shows here in Arizona since March. I watch the show schedules and the shows keep cancelling about a month before scheduled. Next show is in Prescott, October 10-11. Fingers crossed.

The Mansfield Ohio show in July was good (as it normally is) and the Berea Ohio show 3 weeks ago was good. Masks at both shows and social distancing was 'difficult'. Vendors/tables were very satisfied with sales at both shows. Akron Ohio show is next weekend 26th & 27th.

National GunDay is in Louisville 1st w-end in Oct and it has been confirmed. I've got a table and am expecting business as usual as wuflu is history around here.

There is one I normally go to a few times a year, that I am really 'on the fence' about....there are three tables or rather sellers always there that I am considering just going in, making a purchase or two and leaving right away. Admittedly, I do not know what to do. It is something I really enjoy and have been going for years....I even had/have a purchase in mind from a particular seller and unfortunately, do not have his contact info.

I checked online, to more address your post, and have not come across any special instructions for social distance, mask or anything. Debating about calling the club that organizes it.

My Midwest area has had a few Shows. Here mask wear is by wisdom, not fiat. I’m COVID shy myself, but you see all kinds attend, doorknob lickers and all.

Ours are held at fairgrounds mostly, so there is abundant natural ventilation and natural sunlight even inside buildings. Really you cannot pick a much better environment to reduce COVID transmission. I wear a mask and gloves, as the fomites via hands scare me the most.

Prices are high on nearly everything... Except for the one or two dealers who are selling at or near pre-pandemic prices. Those folks had people stacked three-four deep at tables to fill out 4473s. Volume dealers were being rewarded with people’s business, very good sales. Same for ammo dealers, who sold well too. Those dealers also seem to being rewarded by their suppliers too, a virtuous circle.

The opportunist dealers were grousing and had sour faces, as no one was interested in a 50% markup. Like many other folks who normally hit gun shows, we know our price points, crisis or not. There were folks new to guns or wanting an election hedge model at the last show, but maybe only 25% at most. They were mostly buying sub $300 handguns and sub $750 rifles in my observation.

Me too, I'll be the old, bald guy in an orange Hawaiian shirt and orange sneakers. Joe

Lol...can’t miss those orange sneakers Joe! We’re going to meet at Fred’s Market Restaurant on Harden St. if you want to join us. Looking forward to seeing you again.

I went to a show in Morgantown Pa at the beginning of August. About 300 tables, busy but not mobbed. Masks required. Ammo went fast despite no deals. Decent assortment of guns, I bought a 1961 Colt Government. All in all worth the $8 admission.

The Oaks Show that was scheduled for the end of August was moved to Morgantown. I pulled in, saw the line wrapped around the building in the rain, and kept driving. I understand it was a zoo, 500 tables this time. I ended up taking a driving tour of Lancaster and Lebanon County gun shops.

Another Oaks show is scheduled for Oct 9,10,11 at the Oaks Expo Center. I’ve got my doubts it will happen there, probably will be moved to Morgantown. Morgantown is easy to get to from Jersey, it’s an exit on the PA Turnpike, right after Downingtown.

Shows are also scheduled at the Lebanon Expo Center Oct 17/18 and York Fairgrounds Oct 24/25. If you are driving from Jersey the nice thing about these shows, especially Lebanon, is that there are plenty of shops to visit in the area.
