Insane ammo prices

I have been using ammoseek.com to search for 22LR. I set up a search to get notified when it drops below a certain price and In the past month the most I have paid is 11 cents a round for CCI mini-mags and 8 cents for Aguila. You have to be fast though to get it before it sells out.

I just looked on the auction site, four boxes of Lawman 9mm for starting price of $150! Just got back from town with the wife and we bought 4 boxes of Federal practice 9mm for $13.95/box, limit of two per customer. The store had over 13,000 rounds of the stuff. I did a quick count on the shelves it was stacked. I think that price is high, but they have the only 9mm in town.

And THAT, my friend...

...was a SUPER BUY! Now, they only need another 129 customers to come in...

Cheers!

After shipping it cost $165 for 100 rounds of 50 Beowulf yesterday from Freedom Munitions. Today I spent $174 on 1000 large pistol magnum primers, 50 XTP .500 bullets and 2 lbs of Lil Gun powder.

I was in Cabelas Saturday picked up a 500 round bulk box of Aquila 32 Super Extra Hollow Point 22lr for $29.67 total guess I should have bought them all lol..

Just bought the same today at Cabela's for 27 bucks OTD no tax in Montana, Had 10 or 12 on the shelf but never shot any before and really didn't need 22 ammo anyway. But had to try 500.

I always have had good results with Aguila 22LR....my only negative comment is they STINK!!! I don't know what they put in the powder down there in Mexico but it smells pretty bad.....LOL

One my LGS wanted $13+ for one box of five 12 ga. slugs. My other LGS sold me the same for $7 & some change. I am still getting FMJ 100 rounds of .45 & .40 for about .50 cents a round, not great but not terrible in these times.

Time to be selling not buying.
I think you are right but holding on to mine. I have plenty of reloading supplies and 22 ammo because I got caught low the last time. Don't sell my reloads or give them away either and would not even feel right selling 22 for what scalpers are asking. I would give some 22 ammo to friends or family in need though.

Two days ago I bought 2 boxes of 9mm at cabelas for $13 each and 2 boxes of 22 for $7.99. So 100 extra of nine and 200 extra of 22. Not a big score but I am still pleased.
