The Wards Collectibles auction closed last night with a very nice (95% they say) .38 Safety Hammerless (Item #4548). Hard rubber grips, 4” barrel, no box, and no letter indicating famous provenance. Serial number in the 250,000 range. Selling price was $952 + 18% buyer’s premium. Seems like quite a high price to me - am I totally out of touch with prices? Or am I overlooking something?

For that price range, it should be 95%, as this one was, but with a decent box and ANTIQUE status.
