K or L Frame 327 Fed Mag ?

I emailed S&W last month asking them to build a K or L frame chambered in 327 Magnum, I said 3 inch simular to 686 or 66. Round butt doesn't have to be ported. They emailed back and said "Your comments are being forwarded to the Marketing Department and appropriate Management Team for review and consideration for future production." Maybe if they heard from enough customers they may build it.

A 2 1/2" scandium J frame, for $1000 Alex.

A 4" or 6" steel K frame for around $800

I have a 16-4 4" that I reamed a 22 lr cylinder to 327 for. I have way more than $800 in it. About double that.

I have little interest in 8 shot anything. My brain is locke up on 6 shots. I never leave an unfired round in a 6 shot gun. I sometimes get a click with my 5 shooters.

6 shot J would be my pref, would be down for scandium, or stainless bringing back the 632 pro would probably be my top pick, but the 3in performance model they made is pretty hot as well.

I have a piece of 32-20 rifle barrel chucked up and turned to .540 in my lathe right now. Thread it 36 to the inch and then step it down in front of where it will be in frame and turn forward portion to almost 7/16" (.438) then cut the barrel extension off a K frame barrel and drill and ream it to .4375. Head the reamed "sleeve" to about 400f and cool the "liner" to -100f and slip them together. A 32 cal barrel with an unlined forcing cone section. I already reamed a K 22 cylinder to 327 federal.

Already have some I and J frame 32s and a 16-4. But, decided to quit holding my breath waiting for S&W to make me any more and do it myself.

I'd love to see a Model 10/13 equivalent (fixed sights, exposed ejector rod, etc) chambered in 327 Federal Mag, with an extra round in the cylinder.

I couldn't decide if I should make the one I am working on a fix sight 3" or a longer and mill it for adjustable sights. So I did the only reasonable thing and ordered 2 more model 10s from J&G gunsmith specials. That brings me up to a total of 6. One is now a 4" heavy barreled 38 special. another a pinto with nickel barrel and recessed 357 cylinder, another has a 4" python barrel mounted on it and just finished milling it for adjustable sights. Just need to drill and tap the sight mounting screw on it to be done. Cheap gun entertainment. I enjoy working onthemas much as shooting them.

I'd be happy if they would just bring back the 3" J-frame with adjustable sights so one wouldn't have to pay the $1500+ they are now bringing...

Ruger will be bringing out the LCCRX3" in 9mm and .327 Federal as soon as things settle down...if they ever do... They had a 4" GP100 that I had one of and sold to a friend...was a real nice shooting gun. They never did bring out a 3" fixed sight version...

I would love a alloy J frame in 327 with about a 2 1/2 barrel. A shrouded hammer model would be a great pocket carry gun

It would take the gun building fun out of it but back in the day they did make some of these. (gotta get a better picture some day )

32Mag not 327 but in truth "stiff " 32H&Rs is about all I would want on that platform. But that's just me.
