NFL Football?

Other than catching a glimpse while in a restaurant or visiting a friend, I've been boycotting the NFL since Kaeprinik pulled his ****. Since the support of BLM by other pro athletes, I've dropped all pro sports, including NASCAR. Too bad because I am a Steelers fan and they're 9-0. :(

Not I say, Huey

The Steelers are 9-0 you say? Used to watch football a lot, but you can tell from my question that I have no idea what is happening in the NFL these days. Just don't have an interest anymore. If I want to watch political theater, I'd turn on the talking heads, which I don't watch either.

I gave up on the NFL last year after losing my second "home" team. First, Bill Bidwell moved the Cardinals to Arizona in 1988. After several missed tries, we got the Rams in 1995, and Kroenke moved them to LA in 2016. In 1988, it was much harder to follow a non-local team. In 2016, I tried, really tried, but couldn't get behind a team's owner that had hoodwinked fans from the moment he took full control in 2010.

I gave up on fantasy football this season, not wanting to put that much time, effort and money into something that the COVID-19 was committed to wrecking the roster and schedule every week. As such, I haven't watched more than a couple quarters, and then not on purpose, just if I'm at BWW and they have some games on. I don't miss it . . .

I followed the Raiders as my second favorite team when I was a kid. Had a Stabler jersey. Thought about going back when they moved to Vegas and the Rams left me, since I think Vegas will give them a chance to thrive. Once the country gets back to whatever "normal" is going to be, I think Raiders home games will become a destination Las Vegas weekend event for fans of the visiting team . . .

We've been watching the Raiders out of curiosity after their move here. Of course there are no fans in the new stadium, but it looks to be quite facility, albeit with totally inadequate parking with no real places to tailgate. Those chickens will come home to roost eventually.

the game isn't what it use to be, to much ''show boating'' when one of them make a good play. it's like the players spend to much time practicing their dance routine. nothing but a bunch of very high paid entertainers. with all of the money the teams pay for their players I think they can pay for their own stadium. Pittsburgh is still paying for 3 rivers and it's been gone for many years now. once I was a die hard steeler fan, have zero respect for a lot of the players, if it wasn't for the sport they would be in jail. quit watching a long time ago

Here, everyone I know still watches NFL like a religion. They could sacrifice babies on the field, and as long as they played football it would be OK. Myself, I cant stand it. That goes for college too. I played as a kid, but let that kids game go as soon as I became an adult. My brother will lay on the couch for 48 hours straight watching football, even reruns of college teams I have never heard of. My neighbor's will drone on as if they were in the game themselves. While my father was still alive and living with me. I would buy the NFL package for him. He has passed on, so that was immediately stopped. I was more exited when ESPN had 8 hours of live Bassmasters.

I don't watch the NFL as much as I once did. I stopped completely during all the knelling drama antics. I still follow my Chiefs!!!!!! GO Chiefs!!!!!

So the Raiders moved to Vegas? Didn't know that. And I agree with some of you in that football has shifted from being sports entertainment to political theater. I don't judge others on what they believe, but I don't want anothers beliefs jammed down my throat, especially while I'm supposedly being entertained.

I have never seen the appeal for football at any level from PeeWee to NFL.
I even change the channel when the local news/sports guy starts babbling about the local team, the GOAT and how well the college or high school teams are doing.
Football is a slow. boring team sport. I'll stick to hockey.

Whether you watch the game or not, it has no effect on the score. I don't bother to watch and do something useful like oil the Smith's! If I want to see who won, I look at the newspaper.
