Nice Score on a 3953, I think.

I've said it before, so what the heck, I'll say it again:

Any time you can pick up a Third Gen in good used condition with the box and at least the correct original number of mags for less that five bills, it's been a good day.

I'm sure a time will come when we will look back and wish that we could still buy them for that.

Congratulations on your score. And it's always fun to win a GB auction when your max bid is for what you consider a good price and maybe even a bit of a deal.:)

I had a feeling there was a member here in that mix. I see you made one bid and dropped off. I figured it would go for above $500. For me, it was the 5 mags and the box, and of course the like new condition. I was hoping the factory grips would be in the box, but they weren't. Bonus that it appears to have Trijicon sights. $57 for brand new sights with a 12 year warranty is a good thing.

For what it's worth, my max bid before I went to bed was $450. Still would have been more than fair if it went that high, but closing at $425 was even better. I figured if it wasn't meant to be, then so be it. Glad I won it, though.

I've seen and passed a few 3rd gens I would have liked but I have my share and have given in to being satisfied with what I have. While I would like to have had your 3953 I decided not to add another gun that I wouldn't likely shoot much if at all. I really like my 3954 and look forward to a range report from you on your 3953.

I ordered new recoil, firing pin, and mag springs from Wolff and just got the email they shipped. Gun looks almost unused but I always change them out on new guns. I'll post a report when I get it out there. Looking forward to it.

I never cared for those Hogue grips made of Flubber, but that is a really nice gun at a good price. Congrats. Mine is one of the "NPD" surplus guns that came on the market a few years ago and has some milage on it, but I still enjoy the variety that DAO makes at the range.

I think you might need a few more magazines...
