In my way of thinking, "intelligence" only refers to one's potential capability. I have worked with many borderline brilliant young people with stellar educational background, and yet they couldn't figure out simple tasks nor had any background in normal daily life's happenings.
Couple that with "I don't care" or "It's not my job" attitudes and those are the people we have to put up with.
Give me a person with a below average high school record, who successfully completed an AAS degree and can demonstrate a steady work record, and I'll take him over a high IQ MBa any day.
