Old Whiskey (Pictures Added)

Canadian Club has released three old whiskeys in their Chronicles series. 41, 42 and 43 years old. I missed the first two but just bought the 43 year old. I am thoroughly enjoying it. I may buy a second bottle to put on the shelf. Now I am going to try to find the first two. Only 2,500 bottles of each were sent to the USA. Considering the age, I think the $330 price is very reasonable.


Pictures are not great. The CC and a Macallan I bought in 2011 for $200, it now sells for between $1,000 & $3,000, if you can find it.

I feel like it's a bit extravagant but I just can't help enjoying the hell out of Jack Danials Sinatra Selectt. At almost $200 a bottle I sip it slowly and on special occasions. A new bottle usually shows up on Father's day from my kids. That said, once in a while I just have to bring one home myself.

What's the proof? I drank c club in my late teens. My dad had that big tall bottle with the pump on top.

I had 15 double shots to one beer that my record. I made it home but couldn't get the key in the door. Mom opened the door. I won't go any further.....lol

I been wanting to restock my booze locker. I told the misses when death is near I'm going to see god feeling no pain. Lmao.
I'm why waste good booze some 151 rum or white lightening should do it. I have a bottle of homemade white lightening sitting here. I have a family member who brews it.

Had this since Christmas 1981, the boss got mad when I was given this and he didn't get one. Not sure why I still have it since iced tea is my strong drink.

Canadian Club is my go to every day whiskey. Once in a while I'll get the 9 year when I'm in Connecticut.

If someone enjoys $300 whiskey, more power to them.

I myself couldn't enjoy spending that much money on whiskey.

I have a bottle of Beefeater gin that was in my mother in law's cabinet when I started dating her daughter over 40 years ago. When my MIL died my wife threw it in the garbage but I got it out and now it sits in my cabinet.
I'm not a gin drinker but I just could not throw away a never opened bottle that is that old.

When I head into the triple digits I get uncomfortable.

No one need approve my bourbon purchases but me.

I bought a store pick single barrel Rebel Yell 10 year old during the Christmas season, finished this past weekend.

I told my wife, "I never imagined that I'd someday spend $69 on anything with a Rebel Yell label."

It was worth every penny to me!

When my dad passed away in 1987, I inherited the contents of his whiskey cabinet. I still have some fine bourbon that dates from then, now at least 33 years old - aged by me personally! Since this I.W. Harper bottle was marked as 15 years old to begin with, it's now probably just a bit shy of a half-century in age! I toasted my dad (a Kentucky colonel as am I) with this bottle following his funeral, and am still reluctant to completely finish it. It was his favorite bourbon - and very hard to get now.

This came out of my MIL's liquor cupboard 30 years ago. The Revenue stamp on it states Spring 1943. I have not tried it.
