622 target

Got the wife's 622 target apart for a deep clean and CANNOT get this side plate back on. Seems the sear won't position to fit into the side plate clearance cutouts. I realize I'm fighting spring side pressure against the pin for the hammer. What am I missing/not seeing?

Tried it both ways, mostly with it out, then as a last ditch effort with it in. Finally had to just walk away and get educated.

Just watched a video and have the "sear return spring" in the wrong position. It came out during disassembly and I assumed it went down at the bottom of the hammer spring.

I always take pictures as I take something apart I am not familiar with. One pic for each step in the process. I can keep them or delete them when finished. I really helps.

In the picture you show above the trigger bar is not engaging the sear properly, and, the sear is not properly installed... It's turned around, the part engaging the hammer, is where the trigger bar is supposed to engage.

Thanks, that helped a lot as the video wasn't that clear on the sear orientation and couldn't zoom in. It's back together now with no worries.
