Nevada – Nevada just posted their new listing of states they will honor. They have removed Florida, Mississippi, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota and Virginia. They don’t give a reason they just posted a new list. It is dated Effect July 1, 2021. I am making the changes for this to the site now as those states are not listed anymore and there is no way for a person to know that those permits removed are still valid for the rest of this month. Florida will also stop honoring Nevada come July 1. Florida will only honor states that honor them. Also I have a ton of updates to the site coming up July 1 and have to start getting some of the work out of the way.

Louisiana Permitless Carry – Has passed both houses with Veto Proof Votes and goes to the governor who says he will veto it. Dean Weingarten made a post that tells about the bill and a Veto Session that will be held if he vetoes it and does a much better job on giving the info needed than I ever could.
GUN WATCH: Louisiana Constitutional Carry (HB 118), with Veto Proof Majorities, to go to Governor Edwards

U.S. Supreme Court - Court has made a ruling that answers the question about Reservations and State Highways that pass through them and who has authority to stop you. You can read the decision at

Texas Permitless Carry Guide - The Texas State Rifle Association has put out a link to a very good guide on the new Texas Permitless Carry Law. The Guide is from US LawShield and is free. You can go to US LawShield (Texas Constitutional Carry - U.S. LawShield) and put your email address in if you wish and they will send you a link to the PDF file or you can click on the link below from the TSRA https://cdn.brandfolder.io/5Z10RK5F/at/3grj768k34x5pqmmvhpc85c/TXCC-Guide-Single-Pg-Digital.pdf

Thanks for posting that.

I try not to visit or travel in States that don't honor my permits from Washington and Utah. While none of these states need my money, I feel better not spending my money in those states.

U.S. Supreme Court Link will work. My Error. Click on 404 - PAGE NOT FOUND and the doc will open. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hate to tell y'all but there ain't NO WAY that Louisiana is gonna go through the expense of a veto session to override any veto this session much less the one subject of this post.
Trust me on this one! This was a fiscal session only and quite frankly, I am surprised that this even made it as a proposal since the legislators are limited to 5 non fiscal bills during a fiscal session.
Sorry... Maybe next year

Maybe they dropped Virginia because we have gone back to a patchwork of state, county, and city laws on where you can and cannot legally CCW.

I have not made any plans of shopping or traveling to Nevada. I refuse to comply travel in any state restricting handgun carry. Open borders
for me and sanctuary cities make it absolutely necessary for me to carry a gun anywhere I go. If you want open borders get used to it. I would
encourage Texans to spend their money here in Texas instead of Nevada.
If I did need to go to a casino I would choose Lousiana or Mississippi
over Nevada now.

The current, and I expect future, Virginia AG seems willing to collude with other AG's of a given stripe to limit the rights of citizens in their respective states. Don't know if that's a factor here.

Nevada still honors Texas licenses. The post title was somewhat misleading. Here is the latest from the State of Nevada:

• State Fire Marshal • Records, Communications and Compliance • Highway Patrol • Investigations • Parole and Probation
• Office of Professional Responsibility • Office of Traffic Safety • Training • Office of Cyber Defense Coordination

Nevada is also a constitutional open carry state (person/vehicle), which includes our friends from Texas.

I have not yet reviewed the entire new law in re permitless carry here in Texas but I will eventually because I want to see if it really permits non-Texans to carry without permits. I had no idea the constitutional carry rules in other states was broad enough to cover non-residents.

Gary, glad you clarified the "404 - PAGE NOT FOUND" because it sure does work.

Yes, thanks for the post.

However, as a resident of Washington State, I exercise every opportunity and will go out of my way to travel across the border into Idaho to spend my money. Being robbed of hard-earned dollars by the the government of Jay Inslee - named as the worst Governor in the USA on several occasions - turns my stomach.

If a state won't honor CCW permits from other states then those states should not honor the driver's license from that state. There is no RIGHT to a driver's license - driving is a priviledge. But there is a right to bear arms.
