I used to have a 686-6 (my first revolver), a 629 (no dash) and a 29-10 Engraved.

I also have other firearms: Beretta 92S, Beretta 70 (7,65 Browning), Glock 17 Gen 2, Colt Detective, Ruger 10/22.

Have a nice day!

Welcome nice collection .My very first Smith & Wesson revolver was a then new 28-3 in four inch like yours.

Thanks everyone!

Welcome. Tell me what you think of the MR 73, I'm thinking of spending money foolishly.

Unfortunately, I never had the opporunity to shoot one but they have a very good reputation. The double action trigger pull is known to be very smooth.
Since several years, Manurhin are made by Chapuis. This is the last handgun factory we have in France. We used to have dozens of gun factories/brands but they all closed over the years.

I chose to buy 1960s/1970s Smiths. Here, you can buy them for a good price (semi-automatic pistols are more popular these days, by far). So, you can easily buy a Model 14 K38 (for example), pinned and recessed, in good condition for 400€ (approx $500), sometimes less. In comparison, a brand new 686-6 costs 1300€ ($1550).

Welcome to the campfire. Glad to see that France is enlightened sufficiently to allow you to collect firearms like that. Excellent! ;)

I hope we'll keep the right to own firearms. If you want to own firearms like this in France (pistols, revolvers, semi-auto rifles), you have to practice shooting sports.
