CCI Stinger ammo

In my Marlin semi-auto rifle with a 4x scope w/sand bag ;

Yellow Jacket 33gr at 1498fps ...... 50 yds gave 4 @ 1.23"
Stinger 32gr at 1640fps............. 100 yds did 5 @ .98" .91 ft/lbs
Velositer 40gr at 1435fps............ 100 yds did 5 @ .98" 1.04 ft/lbs

the 1200fps stuff will work for killing paper and wabbits.

That Marlin semi auto has to be a record holder to put 10 shots from 2 different kinds of ammo at under an inch at 100 yards. Model 60?

Just to stir the pot, I used a Stinger fired from a 6" barreled Colt Woodsman to finish off a doe mule deer. Broadside head shot at mere feet away. The bullet failed to exit the small does head and was found as shrapnel under the skin on opposite side of head.

I know some guys who use to poach Bullfrogs with Winchester Expediters.
They called them Toad Loads because when they hit a Bull Frog it left nothing but lips and legs.
I'm from hills and we can pronounce stinger. Anybody that can't is an azol.

Shot many a frog with my brother as my father drove the jeep down a levie with water in it and our trusty german Wiemeraner
dog that would jump out and reteive the frog, on the bank or in the water !!

Best spot was the round circle on the side of their head , or just under their chin, if they were looking at you.

However on one trip one of the gentlemen in the back of the jeep with us kids.............
almost had a heart attack when our dog jumped out of the jeep
and jumped back in with a five foot water snake !!

Ah, the good old days.

The ammo labeled "Stanger" is 100% identical to Stingers. They just relabeled some boxes because he's a prominent .22LR YouTube "influencer" and he pronounces it that way. He even has a video that states exactly this.

S&W should go after the "Stanger" users market by making special editions of their .22lr guns marked as "Smath & Wasson".

Love Stingers. One of the owners of CCI a neighbor at our vacation place and gave me a box to try, kind of a pre production prototype affair. I used them in a 9422 which was my 11th birthday present, so '76 I figure.I was very impressed! They hit the market shortly thereafter. Definitely my ammo of choice for using on critters thereafter (when I could afford them).
Later I bought a 2214 to pack on the farm and wanted the extra pop of the Stingers. I remember it not liking them too much, I think the slightly longer case was the issue.
