Colin Powell RIP

Rest in peace.

There is a distinction between lying and telling people something that is incorrect. An honest man can only tell you what he believes to be true.

He learned later that the information he used to tell the world that Saddam had WMD, and that we thus had justification to go to war, was incomplete, or in some other way compromised. He did not know it at the time.

I believe this true of Bush, too.

It is also true of all of us that the desire to believe true what we want to believe true is often overpowering. It doesn't mean we are all evil. It means we are all human.

I wonder if the article mentioned he had severe underlying health conditions that were compromised by the Covid or are they gonna make it a political thing like usual?

There are a bunch of articles on his death, of course. One of several in the Washington Post notes that "He had also been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, which can reduce the body’s ability to fight infections."

The article goes on to say that "The incidence of covid deaths among those age 80 and over [who are vaccinated] was nearly as high as the incidence among the unvaccinated age 50 to 64." But adds, in clarification, that "If we look at one week of the CDC’s data (the one in which the incidence of deaths was highest for those age 50 to 79), we see that the incidence of deaths among the unvaccinated was 21 times higher for those age 50 to 64, 15 times higher for those 65 to 79 and, among those 80 and older, more than four times higher."

Sad news indeed.

He was the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs when I was “deployed in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm” (as my DD-214 says) and he always seemed to be an honorable man who rose from humble beginnings. He served in Vietnam, and I could not possibly care less about his role in getting us into Iraq.

The world is a better place with Saddam dead and the Iraqi people have a measure of freedom not seen in decades.

RIP General!

Yup he was being treated for cancer which weakens the immune system,so even though he was vaccinated,Covid contributed to his death. Is that what you mean by political?

Correct.
However, no. I figured the media will leave that part out and just blame Covid totally, like they usually do, that's what I meant.

Rest In Power Sir!
He could have walked on water, healed the sick, and raised the freaking dead and someone would have something negative to say!!

Few look @ a man's entire body of work...just the supposed snafu's.
He had FEET OF CLAY!!
I bet he's glad to be shed of this cynical & perverted wolrd!
