I was trying to make up my mind today if I was going to sell the (top) 1973 18-3 today, and I was comparing it to the (bottom) 1969 M18-3. So I had them laying side by side to I decided to take a pick and start a thread.

The decision was made neither of these is going anywhere

This is mine; it walked in off the street at a gun show many years ago, and I didn't miss a heartbeat to jump on it. It's one of my favorite handguns as a practice stand-in for its .38 and .357 brothers.

The bottom one with 3-T' is really sharp looking.

Late '50s era K22 Combat Masterpiece.

Same gun with the grips it was wearing when I got it. They are mismatched which is why I put some Culinas on the K22 CM.

18-3

The 18-3 has tight charge holes and they need to be cleaned out every 8 to 10 cylinders. The K22 CM is a sweet package, shoots tight groups with pretty much everything and the charge holes do not clog. Been contemplating selling the 18-3, but you know how that normally goes.

Great idea, Narragansett. Somehow I have ended up with 4 Model 18s. Here are three blued 18-2s and a refinished silver no dash that letters to the Midland, Texas Police Department. It is mentioned on page 217 SCSW 4th Edition. I don't know what the silver refinish is, perhaps hard chrome, but it shows no wear and the cases never stick in the chambers.
