I'd probably point out the rust, make a slightly lower offer, and buy it regardless of whether they came down or not.

There are plenty of all types of Model 10's around still within $100 of that Price. I would look for one without rust.
A few years ago I bought a (Belgium, French, who knows) revolver at an estate sale that nobody would bid on and was not caliber marked. I guessed it was some kind of a .38 and offered $25. and took it home. I've never saw a gun as rusty and still function as that gun. There was very little rifleing in the barrel and it was the most pitted barrel I've ever seen. It was chambered in .38 Short Colt. It shot minute of man at 15 yds. and not one bullet key holed.

A bit of elbow grease and here she is so far...
The rusty bore groove is now just a stain.
You guys are such enablers. A nice shooting grade 3" Model 10 Round-Butt doesn't show up around here everyday at a fair price. I will need to do a full teardown and scrub of the action parts- some light rust and dried gunk.

It was living at the Thornton location. They moved at least three classic wheelguns this evening- my 10-8, a 686 snub with combat grips, and a standard service-style Model 66 4" square-butt.

I know they had several 66 snubs, a 3" 65 RB, a 12-2 snub for cheap, a pretty nice Colt DS, a 37 snub, 3" 37 (kinda rare) and a Model 14. Also a 4013 (double stack) and some tired Beretta 92's and High-Powers.

My 10-8 looks to be 1986ish vintage, with a wholesaler tag dated July 2020 (Century Arms?) and a Sportsman's Warehouse stock sticker dated March 2021. It definitely was not foreign sourced- no import marks.

I grabbed one when I saw a good deal a few years ago. At the time I really wanted a M13, but grabbed the M10 since I pretty much never shoot 357 anyhow. Of coarse I found a M13 after that and bought it too!
Then one day I saw a snub and had to have that also!!

You guys are lucky-the Sportmans in Sheridan off Santa Fe/Hampden won't deal at all on those beat to hell guns. Or maybe it's just me LOL.

Agreed- No need for beauty, but the fact that it has hardly been fired is a big benefit. Just looking for a deep clean and lube to make duty ready.

I think Sportsman's is starting to re-price some of these guns due to do slow sales. Previously (2020 to early 2021) they were priced at full GunBroker value expected for higher condition examples, not police confiscated fodder. More recently, they seem to have dropped $200-300 and have begun to move them.
Hmm, if I hadn't just picked up that 586 last weekend I'd go see. Oh well, glad you guys were able to make deals.
You guys are killing me. There's no SW anywhere near my neck of the woods. I bought something from them over the internet, but I doubt these wheelguns are on their site.

I almost bought the 2" Model 12 for $239 but the frame was cracked under the barrel. I was considering one of the Model 37s but I'm good on snubbies for now. The snub 66 would be a good deal for someone.
