Started watching the Australian
TV series "Jack Irish," which is
very funny and stars Guy Pearce.
In first episode Jack's offered an
onion sandwich--- sliced onion on
rye bread with mustard. I like
onions but usually have meat and
cheese with them.
Just might try onion sandwich with
just Arnold's seeded rye, Gray
Poupon and a Vidalia type onion.
One sandwich idea that doesn't
appeal to me is what I think of as
a British treat---cucumber sandwich.
Not sure any condiments are added,
just cucumbers on white bread.
Anyone else have suggestions for
what might be considered "offbeat"
sandwiches?
